I had bought another setup on Amazon the used a silicone washer on the union fitting. It was difficult to seal and the seal was impossible to find. Instead of messing with it I bought this set of valves. They have o-rings in the union fitting which are easily replaceable. The quality of the valve is cheap but good for the price. I use this setup on a water heater in my shop.

This was easy to install on my tankless water heater, and seemed to be working fine. I had a few leaks at the threads due to poor pipe dope, but once I got new dope and fixed those, everything seemed fine. I did see, after a short time, that some of the seams on the brass fittings - not the threads, the seams on the valve housings - were leaking a tiny bit. That's not something I can fix. Thankfully they're not leaking enough to cause a problem, and it's more trouble to replace them than live with a couple drips now and then, but it does speak to a lower quality in the materials or manufacturing.
