I got these to add shut off valves for one of our bathrooms since the builder didn't add any, even at the fixtures. These allow me to turn the water off to the bathroom without affecting the rest of the house if/when I need to change a faucet, etc.After turning the water off to the whole house, I used a pipe cutter and deburring tool to make about a 1 1/4" gap in the pipes for these valves. I then pushed the pipes a little further apart from each other and pushed each valve on one end of a pipe in the direction I wanted it to face for easy access to the handles. I then slid the other end of the pipe into the valves and the job was done. No leaks from the valves at all, and they work perfectly for shutting off the water. I will buy again when I decide to do the same job for the other bathroom.

Cut the Pipe, deburr it, light lube it, and this goes right on. No leaks and the removal tool works.

Use a quality pipe cutter and clean the ends well and results will be fantastic. No Plummer needed.
