Help to keep early readers from skipping a line or repeating a line. The yellow is better than the other color variety....not as dark and distracting.

These are a very functional and inexpensive way to help with learning to read or for anybody who has attention span issues and tends to jump around pages while reading. The yellow helps "light up" a line to about the same color as a standard highlighter. This helps very much to draw focus to a specific line and helps to prevent skipping lines or jumping around a page.They are about the size of a bookmark and the yellow stripe is about 5/16" so they work well with most books (not so much for some kid books with larger text or text that jumps around on a page). Along with books they also work great on ink display kindles. For anything with a backlight (tablet, computer screen) the text is easily visible/readable through the gray stripes but the yellow still helps to highlight the one line.

These are good price for so many of them, but they’re made cheaply, the text behind grey bleeds through. Also it’s kinda odd, but you have to peel thin plastic off one side of them. Seems wasteful, but I’m sure it’s part of the manufacturing process.
