So far these are working for the low pressure levels I'm using at preventing reverse flow of air. Without subjecting them to extensive testing I don't know how well they work at different pressure levels. But so far so good for my purposes.

I used these for liquid culture lids with a hose so I wouldn’t have to use the injection port every time. But about half of them still allowed the liquid to flow back down into the jar.

I use them for holding and maintaining a vacuum in test containers. Previously, I had to leave the vacuum pump connected, which only allowed for one test container at a time. Because these work perfectly, with no loss of vacuum, I can now disconnect the vacuum pump to use on the next test, while the check valve holds and maintains. They are working so well for me, that samples left for several days have shown no detectable loss in vacuum. I am reasonably certain that they would work just as well maintaining positive pressure, but I have not yet discovered what their maximum pressure/vacuum capability may be.

This is a good little check valve. It has a arrow to show the direction of flow but you have to look very closely. It is part of the white molded plastic and not very pronounced. I marked over mine with a marker just so I would not put it on the wrong side. I had to really blow hard to get the valve to open and it would not let air through in the other direction. I will be hooking it to a water line very soon and I expect that it will do fine with the pressure in the line. In the picture I show it with a ¼†ice maker line.

Although my first project for these didn't necessarily require a check valve, it certainly wasn't going to hurt. I needed to repair a cut in a misting hose, and these were a perfect fit. The hose fit snugly over the barbs and was not too difficult to slide on.I didn't initially see the flow direction indicated on the valve. (It is on there, though.) I checked flow direction by blowing through it. That worked as expected.I think these might also be a good fit other repair jobs, such as on the water line for a refrigerator. I will definitely hang on to these.

Not one worked out of six - we will be returning them. This product should be taken off the market.
