I liked the little tool that came with it. Made snapping the ring on very easy. Using other retention rings from other suppliers in the past I've had to sand the side of the ring down so it didn't become seized in the impact tool's anvil groove. These little rings fit perfect on the gun. I use the gun enough to change the battery once a day at my shop. I waited a week to write this review and it's still at a point where I have to pull the sockets off with slight effort. Has good retention!
