This tape works great! I had previously tried another name brand of double-stick tape which didn't even hold for 12 hours. This 3M tape is going on two days now with no sign of weakening. It was recommended by a friend of mine and I was kind of skeptical but am glad I got it.

I use this 3M VHB tape to mount exterior and interior parts on my vehicles. High bonding strength and quick setting time. Works well to heat and very solid adhesion.Side note : adhesive promoter can help if you are putting this on body parts that will be exposed to the weather or high wind speeds. This stuff is amazing. Great value for the money and strong strength!

I use VHB at work for surface-mounting various items in high-wear applications. It's extremely good. There are three steps:1) Stick it to your work piece2) Peel the backing, apply the item to its new life partner, and hold it like you're staunching bleeding3) Wait 30 days for a full cureThis stuff is STRONG and once it's cured, it's not going anywhere. It will leave residue, although with good technique it's possible to peel it off cleanly. At full cure, especially where it's hot and dry, this stuff will lose its plasticity and become more of a cement, and you will basically have to chisel your thing off whatever you stuck it to.I've seen these last for 3-5 years in the field to mount USB hubs under desks. You can imagine the abuse what with gravity trying to pull them down 24/7 and some electrical engineer or dental assistant ramming USB connectors into them and tripping over cables and whatnot. It's not super cheap but it comes in lots of sizes and it will do the job.

Quality and Strength:The 3M Double Sided Mounting Tape VHB 4905 is impressively strong and durable. Despite its thin profile (0.02 inches), it provides a robust hold that sticks well to various surfaces, including metals, glass, and plastics. It's ideal for mounting objects where drilling holes isn't practical or desired.Ease of Use:Applying the tape is straightforward; simply cut to size, peel off the protective liner on both sides, and press firmly onto the surface. It adheres quickly and firmly, forming a strong bond within minutes.Versatility:This tape is versatile and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It holds up well against temperature changes, moisture, and UV exposure, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.Appearance:The clear tape blends well with most surfaces, providing a clean and inconspicuous mounting solution. It doesn't detract from the aesthetics of mounted objects.Longevity:Once applied, the bond created by the 3M VHB tape is long-lasting. It maintains its adhesive strength over time, minimizing the need for re-application or maintenance.Value for Money:While slightly more expensive than traditional mounting options, the 3M VHB tape offers excellent value due to its strength, durability, and ease of use. It's a reliable choice for projects where a secure bond is essential.Overall Rating:I would highly recommend the 3M Double Sided Mounting Tape VHB 4905 for anyone looking for a strong, versatile, and reliable adhesive solution. It excels in both performance and ease of use, making it suitable for a wide range of mounting applications.1 Star was reduced given the width of the product could be a tad smaller which would have made my application easier.

I bought this products specifically for rehanging my led light strips under my end tables. I haven’t had any trouble with them falling since I used this product. This will forever be my go to! The stickiness is good quality. It’s easy to use and the value for the money is great!

Works great. I purchased this for a vinyl strip for my sliding glass door. It’s been on there two months so far with no issues. It’s been 20° F here at night. I will see how it lasts when it’s 110°F in a couple of months

I used this to attach a 200w solar panel to my yakima cargo box on the roof of my rig. it does what it says. its held up to a couple winters in upstate new york and the salt the use on their roads. i dont think you could remove the solarpanel without breaking it. worth having a roll around.

I used this to stick double channel plastic track to the top and bottom of lightly varnished wood veneer shelves indoors. It’s very easy to use if you follow some basic rules:1. Remove grease and dirt from both surfaces before application and let it dry - I used isopropyl alcohol (available on Amazon)2. Do not pull the tape off the roll quickly - it will stretch if you do, then it will detach itself from the surface as it tries to shrink back to its original shape3. Use sharp scissors to cut and trim, not a blade - it welds itself to a Stanley knife blade as soon as you slide the blade across it4. Do not drop it on the floor - there are no side covers so you will find yourself picking off bits of fluff and grit for ages5. After applying to the first surface use fine point tweezers to peel off the red backing - use the same technique as for removing the backing from cardmaking foam pads.i.e. press down firmly with the flat edge of the tweezers onto the red tape, roughly 2mm from the end. This puts a dent in the tape and loosens up the very end of the red tape. Slide the tweezers under the red tape and peel. The dent does reshape itself after a couple of minutes6. Is it the correct product for your application ?I’ve read a few comments that say that this type of tape is rubbish because it was used to stick a hook to a painted wall. The hook fell off when a coat was hung on it. The tape stayed attached to the hook and it pulled off a large chunk of wall paint with it. This product is designed to bond to the surface it is applied to, not the substrates. Effectively they have used it to stick the back of the hook to a very thin layer of emulsion paint. It’s the weak bond between the paint and plaster that failed, not the tape.
