I am a 58-year-old female, and I am a resent widow, and I wanted more safety on my doors I read the reviews and thought I would try these. I received them on time, and they were as described they felt heavy and strong. I then looked at the instructions and was like oh crap I may need to chisel the door frame that scared the crap out of me I thought I may have to call my big brother to help me ugh. Well, I then thought I would put on my big girl pants and see if I could install them myself and wow I did it and to my surprise they were easier than I thought they would be to install I have put one tip in the review that helped me to install them! The instructions were clear, and to my surprise they were easy to understand. I have three doors and put two on each door one at shoulder height and one at kick in height. After installing I tried to open my door from the inside and the doors did not budge YIPPEE, they worked!!MY ONE TIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did do one thing on my own that worked great after reading some of the reviews and they had screwed a lot of holes in their door frames trying to get the locks positioned I wanted to avoid this, so I thought if I could hold the locks in place on the door frame somehow without screwing them in place it would be great, I came up with holding the locks in place with clear tape. I taped the locks to the door frame they held well then I followed the instructions and closed the door softly if I needed to adjust them I just untaped them and changed the position as needed when I had them where they needed to be with the tape holding them in place I screwed them in through the clear tape as I could see the holes this worked great then pulled off tape when they were screwed in and they were installed. If I can install them, I think anyone can. hope this review helps. Best of luck be safe and kind!

If I lock myself out somehow with these in place.. it’s gonna be a mess to get in. Will prob have to break a window. That’s how well it works.Also good for home defense. You WILL wake up and hear someone trying to get in if you have them in position…Just be careful when installing that the latch doesn’t come down and can rest up top (will make more sense when you get and see what I mean)

Easy install and great extra security. We got them for our grandkid and an extra is the security.

The quality and finish are good. Mounting it is very quick and easy, though I did use my own screws. It feels very sturdy and I feel safer with it. It is easy to lock and unlock with no issues.

I purchased the Lvyesea 3 Pcs Reinforcement Locks to provide some additional security to a small house, one for each the front and back doors and one for to secure a bedroom door from the inside. With some thought before installing I realized the exterior doors were thicker then the interior door, so to install them I simply placed the plate that attaches between the door and the frame into this gap to determine how far forward it needed to be set. Special note: Always use one of the smaller screwes in the elongated hole first to tighten and hold the security lock in place. This allows you to determine the exact location of its placement before setting 4 screws in place only to learn it won't work where you thought it might. The interior door did not require this as it fit more easily and quickly. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating is directions are practically non-existent.

We put these up more for our 2 yr old grandson because he can unlock the doors and we have a pool outside so these are up high and he isn’t that coordinated enough to open these. This gives us peace of mind. They are easy to install Al work great.

I realize that these are designed to be used primarily as door security devices. But I had another use in mind...Because of the curiosity and persistence of our very mobile 9-month-old son, I wanted to secure the drawer of a small table (that was accessible to short people) from intrusion by little hands. Observing that the face of the drawer was flush with most of the surrounding frame, I thought that these door safety locks might do the trick.After receiving these, I went to work on fitting and installing one on the bottom part of the drawer frame of the table. For my application, it was clear that I'd only need 1 or 2 screws to secure it. The included screws were actually too long for my application (although they would be great for installation on a door frame), so I found some spare countersunk screws I had on hand that were the right size. After screwing one into the oblong hole, getting the position right, and tightening it down, it was still too easy to rotate the lock around the screw, so I used one more screw to prevent the rotational movement, and I could tell this wasn't going anywhere!Now, with that lock in place, our son has no hope of getting into that drawer anytime soon! And due to the dimensions of the lock (space between circular grip points) and the tension on the spring mechanism that holds the latch in the closed/locked position, it even keeps our 3-year-old daughter out as well! That was an unanticipated but welcome bonus.I realize that many drawers won't accommodate using a lock like this, but if they do, these locks should be more than adequate to keep out little hands.I'm quite satisfied with the build quality of these locks and with the overall value that they deliver. The only complaint I have -- and it's a minor one -- is that the circular depressions where one would grip the lock to open it can be slightly uncomfortable, but that is something I could rectify if I wanted to (by grinding down the sharp edge around the perimeter of each circle). Other than that, these are great -- even when used for a purpose for which they weren't intended!
