First I ordered the 7/8" arbor. It arrived and the box said 5/8" arbor, but the blade inside was the correct size. Weird, but no harm done. Also this mounts the opposite way of my saw blade. The saw blade is label facing UP, the chainsaw blade is label facing DOWN. My angle grinder spins clockwise facing down. So that is a little gotcha to look for. The chisels are supposed to be facing the direction it spins. As far as how it works? It can cut. It cuts a LOT faster than my saw blade, and the cuts are wider. The saw blade makes cuts about 1/8" wide, the chain blade makes cuts about 1/4" wide or about twice that. That makes a BIG difference in the size of wood you can cut through. I saved a few big pieces of wood that I couldnt cut with my saw blade. The biggest I was able to get through was about 5" diameter. I had to do a cut as deep as it would go on all four sides and break it apart. The log is in the picture. Anything smaller was no problem. If you need to cut wood bigger than about 5" you will need something bigger, like a proper chainsaw. But this will cut anything smaller than about 5" like a breeze. The sawdust is bigger than my saw blade produces, and it also flies farther which is a consideration. But since the cuts are so wide you dont have to worry about the blade getting stuck. Sometimes my saw blade would get stuck and the saw stop or kickback brake would come on. The chain blade will cut the wood twice as wide so kickback will happen a lot less unless you try to cut too quickly or something. In my tests I am very satisfied. My saw blade would start to struggle with anything bigger than a 2x4 but the chain blade will breeze through that clearing anything up to 5" with multiple cuts. I am sure I will be able to cut lots of firewood and pallets with this in no time at all.Your cutting time with the chainsaw blade will probably be about half that of the saw blade. And you will be able to work with wood about twice the size (up to around 5") of the saw blade with much less kickback and much less danger of the blade getting caught and stopping.Very satisfied with this purchase. Good luck!

Cuts wood like butter, just make sure you've got both hands on your grinder: this is powerful.

works for small branches if you dont have a regular chainsaw, just be sure to put in on the correct way, wont cut if mounted backwards

I bought this product after my carbide wheels were not getting the job done. I was hesitant to purchase because of the danger with a product like this, but I was very impressed with how it did. This wheel did not catch on the wood, but instead slid when it did not cut. This made it much safer to use. Cut right through the wood and made my working time much shorter. I would recommend this product to anyone trying to do wood carving with an angle grinder.

This is essentially a circular chain-saw blade. It will remove wood at a rapid rate, but it is harder to control than a standardangle grinder but. I would recommend keeping two hands on the tool at all things it is running. But this makes it hard to adjust the piece being worked on. It is kind of scary to use, due to the potential danger it possesses. It generated a lot of sawdust, which clogged-up the on/off switch on my grinder, making it even more potentially dangerous to use.
