This particular magnet set came in a clear plastic box. It does have several magnetic pieces and a collapsible silicon cup the collapses into a tray. The box is a very thick plastic and functions very well, as the box does lock shut. It has two collapsible rod magnets. One is a pocket magnet and the other is thicker and works well for reaching behind items you may have dropped a metal piece behind. My only issue is that one of the magnets comes on a bendable spring but the magnet barely works. Not exactly what that particular piece is for. But the rest of the pieces including the box functions very well. It's a great little set to have and I've used it several times. It personally saved me from having to move furniture while I was hanging a piece on the wall and dropped one of the screws behind the couch. Nice quality and performs well. Definitely worth picking one up and save yourselves having to move furniture or other heavy items to get to those little screws or even great for getting those metal toys from under the couch you can't reach with you're hands. Functionality is perfect.

If you're like me and have a habit of dropping metal parts in cracks and crevices, this is a MUST HAVE SET to have by your side. The three mag tools are great, and offer a range of strengths and lengths.The one disappointment for me is the smallest mag tool. It's advertised as being flexible, which it is. But it DOES NOT hold its shape when bent. I thought it could be "shaped to suit“ to sneak around corners and such. Not so. I guess that's on me, but still, when they show the tool bent into a "U" shape in the listing, I assume that's the shape it can attain. Again, NOT so. It's just a flexible rod. Of well, I guess it might still be able to snake around corners and catch those pesky screws that always seem to fall in the most difficult spot.The other "not so" that I discovered while using the tool set is the weight claim of the largest mag tool. Said to hold 10lbs...NOT so. The best I could get is 5 lbs (see pics). I didn't bother testing the weight limit of the smaller tools, but I can say that the strength of the magnets is sufficient for picking up small bits that fall. In fact, I really don't care that the largest tool can't pick up 10 lbs. I don't figure on using it on anything that heavy. Just nut, bolts, screws, etc. And all the tools will handle those items, and more.Finally, the collapsible mag tray is very cool. I never use trays, mostly because I worry I'll dump the tray and have the parts go flying. This will solve that potential problem. It's a great addition to the set!Overall, this is a MUST HAVE tool set for the home, shop, and travels. It's compact, comes in a nice plastic snap container, and the magnets of plenty strong for doing what they need to do. And the price...can't be beat. This is definitely a value buy. I picked up this set to help in finding "lost" screws. It seems that every time I do a job, I end up dropping a screw. Unfortunately, even though they fall straight down, they never seem to be at that spot when I find them and pick them up. During my time in the Navy, it would seem that whenever you dropped a screw, it went straight into the bilge (the bottom part of the ship). We used long-handled "bilge pickers" and "bilge magnets" to grab them, so I figured I would do the same thing at home.The kit arrived, and within a few days, I had the opportunity to use it. I was working on the ceiling of the garage, and I dropped a screw. I got down off the ladder and, try as I might, I couldn't find the screw. I grabbed the largest magnetic wand, extended it out, and started sweeping back and forth across the floor. Within seconds, the magnet had grabbed. It had fallen and rolled directly behind the leg of one of the garage shelving units, which hid it completely. More than likely, I wouldn't have found it, and it would force an hour round trip to the hardware store and back. Instead, it was a couple-minute pause. That sold me on these magnetic pickup tools, and they're now a part of my home toolkit. I can't speak to the tray, as I didn't test that, but the magnetic wands are excellent.Overall, I'm very happy with this set and would recommend it to anyone. For only $8.99 (the price at the time of this review), it's a great time-saving tool to add to your toolbox.

The sizes variability for these is fantastic and that variability makes them exceptionally functional, particularly the flexible tool. My only complaints are the magnet strength isn't very strong, having had issues picking up even smaller magnetic items, and the quality/durability is questionable as all of the tools are lightly built.For the price they are of acceptable quality.

Wow! This is an essential garage tool at a easy-on-the-wallet price! This set comes with four magnetic tools - each having their own distinct practicality when I'm DIYing around the house. The long extension rod is great for digging out screws, nuts, and bolts when I drop them around the car. The flex tool can bend to where I need it to go. The smaller rod is great for holding screws and nails still while installing. And the magnetized bucket ensures that hardware won't go flying and get lost. All of this for under $10! What a deal!

Very poor quality. The magnet tray cannot even hold one of the magnets at a 90 degree angle. The flexible magnet does not hold its shape. Would not recommend.
