I use for metal shop cleanup. Not for picking up heavy chunks of metal but great for drilled hole debris and welding/cutting/grinding debris that is difficult to sweep.

We had a small barn taken down and purchased this to check for any nails, so we wouldn't run over them with vehicles. I walked back and forth in the area and picked up hundreds of nails. The release is very handy. When the bottom would become full of nails, I just walked over to the trash bag and released them into it.

I ordered this magnet because it said it had 25 lb magnetic pull. Well it is not anywhere close! It barely picked up 3lb ( a medium size crescent wrench!) Very disappointed

I was looking for something to go over the yard after getting the roof done, opted for this one over the rolling ones as my yard isn't very flat. The release handle is super convenient, pick up nails, walk over the the garbage and pull the handle to release them into the bin.It is smaller and takes longer to go over the yard but I knew that when I bought it. Magnet strength is fantastic for what I needed it for.

Not a big reviewer but I almost didn't buy this because of the lack/one bad review. I was looking for a magnetic pickup tool with a quick release and was disappointed how few there were on amazon. This one is exactly what I was looking for. Decently strong magnet encased in a plastic shell. Pull the handle are whatever you've picked up falls off. Excellent for picking up screws/hardware that hits the floor. Can't speak to durability but appears fairly simple in design. So far A+ if you need a shop pickup tool.
