Size is perfect to shade a portion of my garden for those delicate vegetables. Gives perfect amount of sun. If you are in a place where summer sun can scorch your delicate plants, this is a great buy. Quality, grommets and functionality are great. Went thru hurricane Helene and Milton with no damage so amazing wind resistance.

Living in a hot climate is terrible for tomato and other plants. In my region, the temperature quickly and regularly exceeds 85 degrees by early day. My tomato plants produced a lot of green tomatoes that would not turn red because of the heat and direct sunlight. I put this shade over the top of my garden and saw instant results in my tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and other plants. The soil was holding a greater percentage of moisture reducing the need for daily watering. Using 40% shade cloth allowed me to leave the product on all day. Traditionally, anything over 40% will require removal in the afternoon.I tied the cloth to six, eight-foot stakes approximately five feet above my tallest plant. The product works best under tension. Six posts provided the right amount of support to avoid a dip in the middle. I used basic 5-50 cord to secure the cloth to the post. The product held up very well in the wind. We had a few substantial wind storms with no problem. Not even the slightest rip.

I put my garden in late this year, and the plants seemed stunted with our early high temperatures. I decided to give this a try. I purchased 2 of the 10x12 size and secured them to my diy garden arches with zip ties either in the grommets or just around the webbing on the edges. I was very pleased with the quality of the edging. This ended up being much easier as a two-person job as the material does get caught on things easily. The temperature difference is noticeable underneath, and I am glad I did it, especially with another heat wave headed our way. It's too early to comment on the effect on the garden yet, but I am pleased with the product quality.

Shades my garden how I need it to prevent sun burn on plants. It's easy to setup and so far has held up on really windy days and in the rain as well. It's amazing how much cooler it is underneath the cover. Recorded 87 degrees outside but 80 underneath the shade tarp.

This has really helped my garden this year! Wish I had tried shade cloth before, and this is a really good one. It has held up, it is not faded and I plan on taking it down and using it again next year. I even trimmed it and it didn't Fray or tear up. I would definitely recommend this item.

This is my second summer using this and it has held up nicely. I use this to shade my houseplant that I kicked out of my house once it warmed up enough. The rivets are perfect for staking or using paracord to tie it down. It still lets in a lot of dappled sunlight which is great. It has also been a good deterrent for small animals as well. It is lightweight and large enough for my use. I recommend.

It’s good material but some of the grommets were bent closed and it sagged after a light rain. They are 20x20 and I tried the four corners but it sagged and now I have all the holes tied and fairly tight, why is it still sagging?

I use this to separate my hens from roos and aerial attackers. I live this and WILL buy another one.

Easy to setup in wind ; very difficult to keep clean. This shade tarp is most certainly water / wind translucent as you would expect with is precisely what I was looking for. I was able to set up a 20' by 20' sun shade in a fairly strong wind by myself with very little drama because the material allows a substantial amount of wind (and water) through which is ideal for my needs.I would highly recommend having help to set this up, however, as the material VERY easily picks up debris from the ground owing to the woven design. This means that it also traps leaves and airborne debris very readily and is a -major- hassle to clean. Were it not for the environment, for the price, I would almost consider this to be a disposable sun shade for long-duration boondock camping trips in areas with very few trees for shade. In the end, if you are looking for a more durable / easier to clean and maintain sun shade, consider a perforated style single-sheet type design. This is my next quest!

Never had experience with shade cloth before but seems to be OK standing up to strong westerly winds and heavy rain this year. It's placed over top of and old aluminum 10x10 gazebo frame using zip ties through the grommets. Grommets are holding well.
