Threaded Inserts - Knurled Nuts, M3 M4 M5 1/4"-20 Brass Heat Set Insert for 3D Printing Component and Plastic Parts
Our Brass Heat Set Inserts are made of high-quality brass, these threaded inserts have optimal corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and high resistance to breaking or deformation. The knurled nuts were clearly cutted, have accuracy dimension in thread size, with bi-directionally angled threads, have a balanced high tightening torque, ensuring a stable connection, resisting torque and preventing pull-out.
Great for all thermoplastics, including PLA, ABS, PPS, PP, PETG and more, widely applicate in 3D printers, automotive plastic shells, electrical molding machines and laptop molds. These inserts can be easiy installed with a common soldering iron. Once plastic of the part around the brass sleeve cools and hardens, the threaded sleeve is firmly anchored. Applicated to 3D printing projects, various prototyping projects and most hobby-grade projects.

I used these inserts on parts of my Jurassic themed home Halloween display. I used them to mount the head and arms to a t-slot extruded frame. The inserts held up to some intense movement from a pneumatic actuator.

Used these for a 3D printed mount for my Starlink mini so I could mount it to a standard camera tripod. Set it using my soldering iron. Very strong and not worried about it coming loose.

They need to sell an installation Screw insert that fits a soldering iron tip.

Love these inserts for both my PLA and ABS projects. Once their set in place there is no chance of them coming out! I've broken both PLA and ABS mounts way before the inserts budged.
