So after 3 years of ownership I finally decided to replace the stock rudder cored on my perception kayak with this cable. Easy job and this cable is pretty flexible and seems high quality. You get enough cable that you could probably actually do two kayaks so cut the excess off one end so you can keep the extra for another kayak or save it for a backup. Also when doing the job leave a little slack because when the cables are pulled tight it seems like it binds things up. As long as these don't end up sawing into the plastic of my kayak and they hold up I'll be pretty happy. With the coating over the wire it's pretty smooth and like I said everything seems pretty high quality so I think it'll be fine.

I purchased this to attach my kayak pedals to my trolling motor for steering. I was able to cut the cable with regular wire cutters and it is still very strong wire. I’m more than happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

i did not look carefully - thought the black coating was tubing and it was a complete kit. You still may need to buy tubing somewhere separately.

I purchased the kayak used, I noticed it had the original braided cord and when making turns, it would be difficult at times. I watched som videos and decided to get this one. The installation is simple, but as for cutting the extra line off after installation…not so simple. I knawed the hell out of the cable with some tin snips. Finally got it done with some kitchen scissors. These are strong!Pescador Pilot 12

I replaced my kayak cable with it. Working too well, I'm afraid. The cable is rigid, but it is very sturdy. I couldn't cut it with simple pliers. Otherwise it is an excellent product.

Love this coated wire. Use it to make shark leaders for surf casting. Works great!
