Great piece of equipment to add to any bug out bag, or camping kit. So, far I liked the design and quality or the cord. Can’t wait to test it out on my next trip.

Ok, I got this out of curiosity, and cut a foot long piece for experimentation. The description is correct, and it does actually have fire tinder in it. (I did not use the "suture" (I asked my teenage son, but he wouldn't go for it) but in a Rambo type pinch, I do think it would work. I use paracord for a ton of stuff, so it will be replacing some of the wraps I have on my knives and packs. All in all, neat stuff. Better than expected.

It’s versatile, has everything needed in a survival situation. Fire, fishing line, and the twine is roped inside so you get more twine then you think. Great quality cord. Holds knots well, doesn’t tangle easily and has many functions! Easy to use and make anything needed!

I am fairly pleased with this para cord. Unlike some of the other reviews I received a continuous strand almost 100 feet. Looks like it’s going to be give or take 10 feet for a lot of people and I don’t understand the reason for that but I don’t have precise links that I require. One thing I like about this cord is that it’s lighter and smoother and than some of the other more expensive versions. Not every application needs the heaviest duty product and some of the uses I have a require a slightly smaller diameter. So this works well for that. For applications like bracelets and wearables this is much more flexible than a stiffer cord, and so it’s more comfortable and easier to use. It’s a little more challenging to melt and seal the ends of the paracord that have a fire starting to read in the middle because that one wants to comebust while you’re melting the other threads. This is the same for all of the survivor chords not this particular brand so just making you aware that when you’re ready to seal off in the end, you might want to clip the waxed tinder a little closer so it doesn’t burn. The Kevlar thread or whatever the yellow thing is is very strong. It Alone was able to hold over 300 pounds up without breaking and that was pretty impressive for something that thin. You could use it for snares, fishing line or to wrap and arrowhead onto the shaft. Even though it also contains a cotton thread I would probably use the Kevlar one to sew because of its strength. The only thing I can think of using the cotton thread off the top of my head is for his emergency sutures. But I’m sure the uses are limited only by one’s imagination. The waxed thread will burn but it’s not quite as combustible as some of the higher end ones I’ve used. Honestly I would probably use it for a improvise candlewick as I think it would just be easier to start a fire with wood shavings then to bother with this wax thread. But don’t underestimate the usefulness of candles in the outdoors. This makes a fine little wick if you drop it in a small cup or a depression filled with alcohol.I believe this para cord is rated for 330 but it seems pretty sturdy, and I guess the outside is polyester rather than nylon which makes it actually smoother and have a better feel for wearables. The biggest thing I like about this is that I use it. I have several bundles of the very expensive survivor cord and I’m hesitant to use it because it cost so much and it ends up just sitting in my pack for emergencies. The stuff is much less expensive and so I end up using it a lot more often rather than saving it for that one big emergency. And so for that I really appreciate a relatively inexpensive and versatile cord.I’ve made several bracelets and lanyards, I have premade roof lines and hitches for quick deployment of tarps and shelters. And I have several little extra bits left over that I used to practice knots. I’ve always believed that lanyards are incredibly useful and so this cord has allowed me to tie a lanyard to pretty much everything I own that goes into the bush. It’s also handy to wrap around your sheaths and other tools, so you have lengths of cord handy and ready to use and also protect your equipment. Are use regular para cord around the house but for anything that’s going to go in the woods with me I always use the survivor cord for extra utility. I may never end up using the interior threads but it’s nice to know that they are there. It’s really handy to have a lot of the stuff laying around. You never know when you’re going to need to tie something up or tie it down. And I’m just not likely to do that with the $40 bundle of high-end survivor cord.

This paracord feels very high quality, the color matches the pictures, it is versatile, doesn’t add much weight to your pack and it’s compact when wound up. I will definitely be buying more!

I got this for a bug out bag item as well as keeping a short piece for EDC as a keychain. I've tried the fire starter and the cord itself. The fire starter starts with a fero Rod after a few strikes and will even light the rest of the cord on fire as an added flame source. The cord feels almost exactly like normal paracord and melts to seal the ends nicely.Pros.Works as paracord.Has fire starter inside that works well.Has fishing line inside (not tested)Has thread inside. (Not tested)Comes in many colors. (I got Brown)Comes with a Velcro cord keeper.Cons.Wish it cost less. But it's a good price still. Not anything else really.

I make paracord survival bracelets for friends and family! This product offers more than the typical 550 paracord. With the additional fire tinder and additional strands, it adds more options available with this paracord. You can see the red tinder cord where I melted the end of the survival bracelet!

Ok it’s not copper stranded easily fixed at the local hardware, the good news is it’s equivalants are often twice as expensive..

This paracord is kind of slick and doesn't really bind on itself well in a bend, not to mention it comes wrapped around a cardboard sheet and when you take it off that sheet the paracord has so many hitches and snarls twisted into it that it becomes really annoying to work with until you've spent some time breaking it in. Basically this rope comes with a lot of bad memory already worked into it and you'll need to spend some time getting it straightened out before it'll be useful. All that being said this paracord is light and strong, so it does what I need it too.
