their Blue ray player was out of date and was unable to play my MP4 videos from a USB flash drive. Successfully, my mom and I were able to watch the whole movie of sound of music which is three hours long without any problems. Just a note: Remember that there is a volume button on the remote control for this, so if your videos are too quiet, turn up the volume on this unit.

wanted something to watch a hdmi camera stream. this was easy and works well with osb and vlc. this one has a few extra features and bigger than just a usb dongle type. works well!

The video in and out works great, but (for me at least) the computer doesn't register sound even though OBS does (like if you have wireless headphones connected to the computer it wont play game audio but the recording in OBS will have the audio). This also goes for the mic which is very annoying for me because my mic and headset are both wireless.

The software for this capture card literally comes on a small cd, so it's only possible to make it work if you somehow have a cd reader on your computer in the year 2024. So you'd have to buy an external DVD reader to make it work, which is extra money that's not worth buying for a cheap capture card like this. Don't buy this garbage.
