Made sure to try all four as it came in. I have spiral ends at both my long barbell and my dumbbells. I had also measured before like any other reviewers said to. These ones fit both of my items that I needed it to.I had lost one my paired spin lock collars for my barbell. I have a dumbbell that had the one pair metal which I wanted to use for the long barbell. So I researched and tried a different Amazon Brand before this one and had to return. Did more research and led me to this branded (red) ones, which I’m glad it happened to fit on both. I was glad to finally put the metal ones to barbell and have the reds is sit on my dumbbell.I just see reviews and thought that the plastic/rubber looking ones should be on a less heavier items like dumbbells rather than the barbell bar. More of a safety precaution

Used on dumbbells to keep the "spin lock" nuts (which always spin) from spinning loose. I do not replace the spin-locks, I just add these on top. This products does hold but after a while starts to come loose. They do not work alone (must be in combination with the spin-locks that came with the dumbells). So, for the cheap price, they do the job just about adequately. Better than the clamp-ons, which were useless/too weak.

I purchased these to try to stop the barbell collars from spinning constantly and having to be tighten after each rep. Initially, they prevented the collars from spinning but after a few weeks I find I need to tighten the collars after about 2 reps. If you are purchasing these to prevent collars from spinning, you might want to consider another brand. I hope this review helps in your decision making process.
