Simple and functional. They are easy to use and work as stated. You know they work because instruments tune sharp. Fill and dry outside to work for 48 hours. Dont overfill. Keep your humidity level to about 50 Percent for fine wooden instruments. I would highly recommend this product.

Works well.. I have others that come apart with a removable sponge.... these units are sealed and there's a hole in the top .... a small water bottle is included... you need to fill the water bottle and squirt liquid into the unit.. I suppose you could just hold the unit under a faucet and get the same results.. all in all.. unit works as advertised...

This set of humidifiers arrived very quickly. The quality was far better than I expected for the price. The inclusion of a plastic bottle to refill the humidifiers was a great idea. These are far easier to use than the typical sponge on a string humidifiers which have to be removed, taken to a sink, soaked, and then placed back in the guitar-where they hang right against the top of your guitar. These fit perfectly between the strings which puts the sponge in the center of the guitar for a more even distribution of moisture. The tension against the strings is minimal. I always banged up my strings way more trying to get the long sponge and sound hole cover in place. These are bigger than they looked in the pictures which makes them an even better deal. At this price there is no excuse to have your precious instruments damaged by very dry air. These are a great gift for any guitar owner you know.

I have a few brands of soundhole humidifiers that I purchased over the years. However, I needed a couple more. When I saw these for a tiny fraction of the cost of some of the brand name soundhole humidifiers I thought there might be something wrong with them. On the other hand, what could be wrong with them. They're a very simple device. Well, they are just as good as some that cost up to $15 each! The caps don't come off like some but I've never found that to be a problem. In fact, I've come to like them better than the type that have removable caps. I'm a bit bewildered by reviews that complain that the caps can't come off this type or complain that they don't have a syringe or bottle to squirt a precise amount of water in them. These do come with a water bottle for those who actually wet the sponges that way but I find that method to be unnecessary bordering on silly. There is no need to squirt a specific amount of water in the hole in the top and there's definitely no need for a syringe or squirt bottle. In fact, I just set aside the little bottle that came with these to be used for some other purpose. To wet the sponge, simply insert it into a glass or cup of water for 10 seconds or so. Then remove it, give it a shake to expel any water that isn't absorbed in the sponge, wipe off humidifier with a towel and insert it between guitar strings as usual. This is far easier, faster and better that filling it through the hole. You can use distilled water if you like. Just have a jar full of distilled water and cap it off after each refill. I would be amazed by how complicated some reviewers make this but, then again, nothing seems to amaze me anymore in this crazy world. By these without hesitation.

My old moisturizer had a small sponge to take out and wet. These have holes on top and a small plastic bottle, I assume to fill with water to put into the moisturizer. They look more narrow then mine - good to not stress the strings.good purchase and quick delivery!

I have two acoustic guitars that the tops were visibly distorted. Seeing videos address this issue had me make the purchase. One top is restored, the other is improving and nearly restored. I'm glad that I made this purchase before the wood began to crack the finish on either guitar.

Prior to using this product I only got to 41% humidity for my guitars. With this product it is now 50+. It is an inexpensive product and works well. What more could you ask for.Be careful to not over humidify using this product. I found my levels over 70%. I am going to add less water and monitor closely…more to come

These work just like the major brand and are cheap, but the tops are not removable to wet the sponge media. You have to use the included squeeze bottle or just immerse them in water and shake out the excess. Not sure I'd buy again, but they were inexpensive.
