While most commonly used for masking purposes during finishing, there are hundreds of other uses around the shop, home, lab, classroom, etc. This superior grade of silicone is capable of withstanding temps up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius) for 20 minutes and holds up to most chemicals. I use these caps to cover the eyelet (line tie) on fishing jigs that I am dip powder painting.It make it so I don't have to go back and clear the hole in the eyelet before baking to harden the powder paint. After baking you can't remove the paint so this helps keep paint off it altogether.I do wish they had a size smaller ID than the 3/32" though.

Cut in half and used the closed end on a fishing swivel molded into a jig head, prior to dipping into powder paint - worked perfect!

Fits like a glove. Silicone high heat tolerance. Exactly what I was looking for. Must be properly sized so measure before you order. These tips come in many sizes.

These end caps have a number of great uses. They are flexible and the quality is very good.

I used these as tip covers for very delicate instruments. They protect my expensive sharpened forceps and scissors.

They are fine, but the bags were only filled with 40-42 pieces, not 50 as advertised.

I have an Anova sous vide container and lost 2 of the rubber end caps. These are better than the Anova originals, they fit perfectly onto the wire frame and are a little thicker so they wire frame fits even more tightly into the container.
