I make telescope eye pieces and Barlows from old binoculars and these thumb screws are the perfect size to keep the eye pieces inserted in the Barlow nice and tight. Common metric thread and easy to tap the hole for the thumb screws.

At the bottom of every battery operated drill, where the battery slides into the drill. There are two holes with threaded nuts inside each. My job site gets kind of rough and tumble and new batteries don’t always lock down in old drills. that’s where these come in handy. keeps it locked firmly in position and prevents batteries from walking off the job site.

I use these to mount LCD monitors to VESA mounts (100mm x 100mm). Perfect for the job and you get enough to do all your friend’s monitors as well.

These M4 thumb screws would have been perfect for the intended application. They fit perfectly and are easy to use. However, the face of the screw has scratches.
