It leaves lines but it cut thru my dogs thick matted coat with ease. BE CAREFUL!! They do NOT come with any type of guard, so when it tickled him on the side and he started leg thumping, the shears cut him pretty bad. It was a quarter sized hole in his skin!! Thankfully I have surgical glue or he would have needed stitches. These sheers are NO JOKE!

I use this to cut the hair on my 100lb shaggy dog. You need to use care not to hurt the dog but it’s safe if you take your time and attention. Regular clippers jammed but these sail right through.

This product is awful! Began shearing the sheep and the combs , to which we discovered after broke was missing a piece, started breaking and flew off hitting my son and the sheep. These are terrible and we were happy to use them as we prepared for shearing this spring. Highly disappointed!
