These are replacements for oil pan drain plugs for my truck. Wish there was an alternative such as a permanent S/S or aluminum threaded drain plug but since the oil pan is of a polymer based, the only other option would be an aftermarket oil pan.

I went to get my oil changed and they said they didn't have any of these (which are needed each time you change your oil on the F150) and said it might be a week or two. I ordered on Amazon, got them the next day and took one to the shop and got my oil changed! So I'll carry the extras in my glove box, so the next time I'll hand one over as I arrive. :)

since Ford decided to cheap out on the plugs and someone somewhere at that W store screwed up and that W store had to replace someones engine because they turned it too tight, that W store now requires you to bring your own plugs. whatever. these are great and do the trick!

I change my oil on my F350 and replacing the oil change plug (with a new one) helps avoid leaks. The tool is easier to use than a socket wrench, too. Very ergonomic.
