With shop rates exceeding $175.00 to $200.00 per hour its a lot cheaper and quicker just to do some things yourself. This filter wrench has already paid for itself several times over. Now whenever I have a clogged filter, I just grab a spare filter from my side box, drain the fuel, change the filter, put the fuel back in. It takes 20 minutes total( I'm a bit slow) and I'm back on the road, no waiting in line at the truck stop, I can change it literally anywhere I am from a parking lot to the side of the road, or my front yard. About the wrench, it fits and it seems sturdy(not much more to say on that). I use it on a Cummings X-15 in a KW t-680.

Works for 2016 Peterbilt 579 with the upside down filter.

The tool fits well, but flexes under pressure. It was the initial filter replacement and may have been tighter than it would normally be. Definitely much better fit than a strap wrench.
