Factory is plastic cap and they use a driver to put it on. I almost broke my breaker bar getting it off. Have to replace the stoke cap with aluminum. take the filter out and put it in the new one. Has a spring clip and pops out and in. Fit perfect and now I don’t have to worry about it cracking. Would not be able to get the cap off without it!

Ordered it to replace oil on my Tundra. Placed this tool over the filter housing, nice snug fit, so far so good, tried to unscrew - no go. The housing was pretty tight on, so I put on more pressure on the wrench handle and the tool socket started to strip. Finally I got the housing to budge and removed it, but the damage to the tool is significant, I can't use it again, it's too stripped, next time it won't hold my wrench head in place. Have to find a tool made of better quality metal.

This is a good wrench fit perfect on my 2015 Lexus NX 200 . The filter was on so tight I had too use a cheater bar.
