Fan hits the upper part of the compartment, no way to drastically adjust it. Tried different things and could not get it to work. Does not fit.

This was listed as an exact replacement for my Broan 688-K bath fan. However the fan arrived with loose bolts holding the fan motor to the frame which had to be tightened before install. Additionally, the motor/fan assembly was too tall to fit into the existing fan box requiring me to install several small washers to lower the fan blade as well as requiring me to slightly bend the motor plate down to achieve sufficient clearance for the fan to spin.

Item was easy to install. And a lot quieter than the original one that broke. Has been working for about 3 months now. No issues.
