Precautions for the use of shackles
1. When using the shackles, do not exceed the specified load. The stressed part should be the pin shaft and the top of the shackle, and the horizontal use will cause the deformation of the buckle body.
2. When hoisting, use the d-ring shackle for binding. When the object is lifted, the latch should be at the top and the pin should be at the bottom. I can not attest to the break strength, but they are real stainless. The build quality is 4 stars and these were at a 3 star price. totally worth buying. Just be prepared to clean up burrs in the threads and they will be good.

These are very nicely made. Their throat is wide enough to allow a 3/4 inch thimble to freely pass through so there is no binding
