My 9 year old granddaughter comes to my house once a month for a long weekend. I am always struggling to find activities to keep her occupied so she doesn’t hang out on her Kindle all day. Her attention span is about 20 minutes before she’s looking for the next “fun thingâ€. I was amazed at how long she played with this toy. Hours at the dining room table! This kit comes with so many different fabrics and decorative accessories that it seems like it will never end. Plus it’s easy enough to buy more scarp material at Hobby Lobby when it does all get used up. The creativity this kit inspired in her was amazing, and she still tells me when I talk to her on the phone that she can’t wait to come back to my house and play with it again. Truly outstanding craft kit.

My granddaughter who is 11, wanted to make some Barbie clothes. The kit contained plenty of material, patterns and mannequins. Great performance the money.

Got this for my niece and she’s more than happy about it. She can make her own Barbie clothes she designed all by herself. Also a great starter kit for learning to sew and stitch. Now she gets to spend more quality time bonding with her Nana cause she loves to stitch and sew also

My kids were super excited to get this set and make some doll clothes! This set presents itself as a way to help you design and sew clothing for your dolls. And they do include some needles, thread, and double sided tape and paper templates for different kinds of dresses. The fabric that comes with the set is really pretty, and a decent selection of patterns and colors, including ribbon and lace.The mannequins that come with the set have a slot in the back with rubber teeth inside. It seems most of the designs they show has you wrap the fabric on the mannequin, and then use a plastic tool to shove the extra fabric into the slot to hold it in place. I'm not sure how many of the designs could actually be sewn together permanently. We were all very excited by this kit, but once we realized how it seemed to work, everyone seemed to lose their excitement over this project.

I'm a professional seamstress and designer and my 3 grand daughters (ages 5,7 &9) shate this and tell me they pretend to be me when sharing this set! Yeah, the best part about it is you don't have to really do any sewing. All of the fabrics and decor can be placed on the many plastic mannequins and pushed into the slit on back to hold in place. very easy to use and lots of creative fun for various ages. I was quite surprised at all of the different fabrics, ribbons, etc included with this set. The possibilities are endless, and I love seeing how creative the girls are with their designs. Makes me proud & all warm inside that they are reminded of me when using. I will update review with some pics of their designs next time they send me pics. Definitely worth a purchase and a good gift idea for young ones

This set came with a lot of accessories and a lot of possibilities!! My 6 year old daughter enjoys designing dresses for her dolls, and she has been enjoying making all sorts of dresses. It is not too hard for a 6 year old to use this kit to some degree. She struggles with the cutting of the designs and the fine motor skills needed to sew a dress together. I am not a very experienced seamstress, but I can figure out how to sew the dresses together in a rudimentary way for her. Doll clothes don’t need to fit precisely.One nice feature about some of the accessories (there are many- buttons, Velcro, bows, ribbon, lace, pompoms) is that some have a sticky side. For example, the buttons can stick to the fabric so they hold their place as you sew them in.There is definitely a comprehensive kit, having everything you need to make a doll dress included. This set is meant for a Barbie sized doll.In one of the pictures you can see that the model stand is slightly warped at the base. It came like that, but it still works. The quality of the products aren’t stellar, but they are good enough for a child. That is why I have this product 4 stars.
