I got this for my daughter for Christmas as she loves fashion. This was a super cute kit and came with everything she needed to make all of the fashions for her dolls. I did have to help her use it as it was a little complex for a 9-year-old

I ordered this for my daughter who has a sudden interest in designing and has been using paper and other things she finds around the house to make new clothing for her barbies so this was a fun change for her. It came with a LOT of things and kept her busy for hours! The colors and designs were all bright and beautiful and there was so many things for her to choose from! She absolutely loved this kit and I'm sure any kid her age with an interest with this will love it, too!

This little box has a lot of trims and decorative items to style with the included fabric. This is a beginner kit with some paper patterns and plastic needles and a few notions. The 4 mannequins are easy to put together (two white, two black) and there's a lot of color and creativity possible. The instructions are difficult to understand and the patterns do not have any details or instructions and are not numbered to match the designs suggested. That being said, this is an intuitive kit where kids will just start putting a design together on their own. It did hold their interest and they spent over an hour in one sitting designing. I think this is a great gift or project drawer item for a rainy day.

I ordered this for a seven year old who loves Barbie dolls and wanted to make clothing for them. She has been using glue, tape, rubber bands, just about anything to keep her fashions on her dolls. I thought this would be a good kit for her to learn how to create fashions and how to use patterns. A couple of things, the mannequins have a slot that you push fabric in which keeps it in place. She liked it but then would get frustrated when she removed the fabric and her fashion lost it's shape. To solve that issue, rather than using the slot, we put double sided tape on both sides of the slot, then we cut off any extra fabric and used the tape to attach it. Her grandmother is teaching her how to sew so they are working on finishing her designs. She told me she loves the kit and is happy with all the stuff that came with it, like the fabric and sparkly things.

I was really hoping this would have more of a guide/tutorial about making dresses for dolls. Putting the two dresses with instructions on the form were fine but there was no explanation of how to then make it something you could get off the dress form with Velcro or ties so you could put it on a doll.I do think it’s a good collection of random fabrics and decorative elements that you could use to help follow tutorials online.It doesn’t come with any sort of glue, and just one of those needle/thread cards you can get from a hotel’s kit.I think the best value in it is the dress forms. They fit the Disney ILY doll clothes perfectly. Barbie clothes will close on it but fit a bit loosely in places and too tightly in others. Rainbow High is shorter and tighter than these forms so they wouldn’t work for RH or LOL OMG dolls.
