In summary, this thing works as advertised. Four wet bolts on our 5th wheel RV would not take grease despite lifting wheels off the ground and replacing the Zerk fittings. This filled with Kroil did the trick! I was able to hammer Kroil through the obstructed wet bolts, per instructions. Last, it’s a solidly built tool. It’s worth the price!!

Yes!! Just yes! Had a few grease fittings that wanted to fight on our 5th wheel suspension no matter what I did. Loaded this tool with WD40, gave her a few "gentle" smacks with the 4lb hammer.... and we now have free flowing grease fittings. It was nice seeing the old grease launch out with the WD40 and then have the new grease flow easily through the fitting with the grease gun afterwards. Great tool to keep on hand!

I’m not normally a review writer but I do rely on them for my buying decisions. So in this case, I didn’t hold high hopes for this working for me after reading the negative reviews.I have had a driveway gate hinge that has never accepted grease since installed 8 years ago, I just ignored it. I recently decided I needed to get grease into it before it seized up. After seeing a YouTube video where a similar tool was used to get grease into a fitting, I found this one. I used 3-in-1 oil in the tool and gently tapped the oil into the fitting with a regular hammer. I took my time and slowly tapped in the entire cylinder of oil I had loaded into the tool, even though the oil started seeping out the top of the hinge after about half of the oil had been forced into the fitting. I did have to back off the knurled nut to get the tool off of the grease fitting, as described in the instructions. Attached my grease gun and forced the oil, followed by grease through the hinge. Perfect!

So. I've used this 6 times now and have yet to clear a grease joint or pin. have filled it with 10w oil, brake cleaner, Blaster, WD40 no luck. Typically, I have to use a rose bud to heat the joint and it looks like I will still be doing that, but I see this tool as a way to speed that up by having a nice clean way of injection a oil like blaster into a hot joint to do a better job of cleaning out the bushing/joint. I don't see this as a miracle tool, but a helpful tool. For the price it is a quality tool made out of steel for that reason I would recommend this tool as an aid. I work on heavy equipment, dozer, scraper, excavators and everything in between including wash plans and crushers. Bottom line a good ground guy with a grease gun should not be under paid.

I ordered this item figuring if it didn't work I could return it. First I read the reviews on the item, and they were very helpful. We had a mini excavator in our fleet that had a pin the would not take grease no matter what we did. I had people remove the zerk and replace. they tried drilling. They tried heating it hoping it would loosen up the stuck grease. So I bought this as a last resort figuring if it didn't work, I would return it.First I read the instructions and used Marvel Mystery oil. They said penetrating, But had lots of marvel mystery oil in the truck as we use it for about for about everything. I took a few minutes to really figure it out, as to bleed the air out of it. Seems like once I bled the air, I had about a half cylinder to work with. I grabbed my 2 pound hammer, and started tapping. It was leaking at some fittings as I had not tightened them enough when I screwed the base on. Back to work. I started tapping. It was messy as the pressure is very high when you tap, and if the zerk is plugged, it has to go somewhere, so it seeped and threw a little oil out of the plunger. Now I had read where people said it took fifteen minutes or a little longer on a really bad fitting. After about 10 minutes or so, I could see a little bit of seepage of oil coming out of the bushing. I kept at it for about another 5 minutes.Noticed it looked lie a little more oil seeping out of the fitting. It was noticeably easier to tap on the plunger. So I grabbed my pneumatic grease gun, thinking I would still need more work, but hoping for the best. I was absolutely surprised when I seen grease come out of the pin ( bushing).I think the people who give this poor reviews need it can be messy, as the excess pressure needs to go somewhere. Second, keep at it. The pin I did had been froze for a year. I would say on a bad pin 15 to 20 minutes is not unusual. On stuck or plugged king pins, only takes one or two times as we grease regularly. Same with u joints. 5 stars from us, and especially all of the people who tried to free it.

I'M VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS TOOL, AT FIRST I WAS A LITTLE SCEPTICAL BUT FOR THE MONEY I GAVE IT A TRY. IT WORKS LIKE A CHAMP.ABOUT A MONTH AGO I REPLACED THE SUSPENSION ON MY FORD F150, AND THEN I NOTICED THE LEFT SIDE SQUEAKING A LOT, I TRIED EVERYTHING BUT NOTHING, THE LEFT LOWER BALL JOINT WOULD NOT TAKE THE ANY GREASE THROUGH THE FITTING AT ALL. SO I GAVE A SHOT TO THIS TOOL, GUESS WHAT AFTER FILLING IT UP WITH BP BLASTER AND GETTING THE AIR OUT (JUST LIKE A REGULAR SYRINGE) I HOOKED IT UP AND STARTED TAPPING (NOT TOO HARD BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID OF BREAKING THE FITTING) CONTINUOUSLY AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE BP BLASTER STARTED TO COME OUT. RIGHT AFTER THAT I HOOKED UP MY REGULAR GREASE GUN AND BINGO! I WAS ABLE TO GREASE IT AND THE SQUEAKING ON THAT SIDE STOPPED, EVEN STEERING MY TRUCK WAS A BIT HARD BUT AFTER THIS IT CHANGED 100% WHAT A DIFFERENCE!I HAVE ONE TIP: TAKE THE GREASE FITTING OFF AND DO IT FIRST JUST TO THE GREASE FITTING, IN MY CASE A CLUMP OF DRIED GREASE CAME OFF IN A CYLINDER SHAPE AFTER I TAPPED A FEW TIMES, SO I TOOK CARE OF PART OF THE PROBLEM. THEN PUT THE FITTING BACK ON AND DID THE SAME THING (THIS TIME I TAPPED A LITTLE HARDER) UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS UNCLOGGED. IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN I BOUGHT THE SUSPENSION PARTS IN ONE OF THE LOWER BALL JOINTS THE GREASE FROM FACTORY WAS DRIED LIKE SOME KIND OF PASTE BUT THIS THING PUSHED IT ALL OUT. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 100%

received and immediately used with success. removed grease nipple and used the unit to make sure it was clean. refitted the clean nipple and used unit to clean out blockage, worked a treat. i used motor oil without issues, remember to apply oil and turn upwards to clear out any air before using. anyway very happy customer.

I bought this device for a grease fitting on a mini excavator that had become blocked with hard grease and was groaning when loaded. Try as I might, I could not get a grease gun to load new grease into the bearing. I loaded this little beauty with simple 3 in 1 oil (needs to be non-aerosol to avoid trapped air bubbles). It attaches easily to the grease nipple and then tap with a hammer fairly gently. The plunger went in so far and then stopped, refused to go further no matter what I did. Then detached, thinking it hadn't worked, attached grease gun to give it a try and Hey Presto! completely fixed, grease flowed no trouble. Absolutely delighted and will no doubt get me out of a fix again in future. Recommend ++
