We have a little cutting board that was made by a wood working artist with a handle that allows us to raise and cut cheese with ease. To my family, this is more than a cutting board. It's the centerpiece of any charcuterie board setup and occasionally resides on our coffee table during a movie night, while we eat cheese. Well, a while back, the little cord that does the actual cutting broke. We eat a lot of cheese in our house, to say the least.I was so happy to find these after not even realizing that they were a thing. I thought the wire in our was simply a wire that was wound around the points of contact.These cords were exactly what we need and it comes with so many extra ones, I feel like we're set for a while as the last one got us through about 2 - 3 years. I'm very happy I found these.

A while back, I found a lovely marble cheese-slicer in perfect condition at the second-hand. It had one slicer wire installed on it, and one extra taped underneath the bottom of the marble base. It's actually so pretty, I keep it out on the counter all the time, and it's so much neater for slicing cheese, I can get perfect slices of any thickness. But I knew the slicer wires wouldn't last forever, and I feared replacements would be either impossible to find, ridiculously expensive, or both! So, I limited my use of the pretty slicer. I even resorted to saving old light-gauge guitar strings (!), hoping they might do in a pinch, but I knew that would be a whole lot of trouble, if it even could work. I was so happy to see these available on Amazon, and with listing photos showing them in use with a cheese slicer which is a twin for mine! They come in a very handy ziplock storage bag, along with a bonus -- a terrific cleaning brush for that slot that always gets cheese stuck in it. There's even a cute Thank You card included. The wires are stainless steel of course, and wound at each end to fit my cheese slicer perfectly! And yes there are really 8 wires in the package. Price works out to a dollar for each wire, with the cleaning brush as a very nice, very useful free bonus. SO happy with this item and this merchant! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Replacements for a broken wire on my cheese slicer. Easy to attach. Worked as well as the original wires.

These seem to be a direct replacement for the Rockler slicer. We'll see how long they last.

Great for and easy to install. I received a cheese cutter years ago and I've b looking to replace the wire for some time. This worked great.

Don't waste your money. There are much better options on the site. The wires are too flimsy to even cut soft cheeses, and they come unwound after one use. I do not recommend and probably could not be convinced otherwise.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the package and took a look at these replacement cutting wires for a cheese slicer. Nothing fancy, but well made. The kit also comes with a brush and a card for cleaning out the slot of your cutting board.
