This is the second time I've bought this cheese cutter. The first one came apart and became useless. The wire piece fits into two slots and is held by a screw on the other side. After time, the screw got lose and fell out somewhere and got lost. It is a tiny screw. For a while I managed to put the wire into the slots and just hold the cutter so that the pressure is in the direction of the slots. It cut cheese like this for a while. Eventually I got tired of doing that, and I bought another one, a different one. That one had plastic where the wire connected, and that eventually broke. So, I bought the old one again. However, this time I know about the screw holding the wire. It requires a micro Philips screw driver. This time I will check it from time to time to make sure it is screwed in tight.Other than that, I really like this cutter. I bought two of them this time. For $11.39, it is well worth it. These also come each with 3 extra cutting wires. I've already use it on my block of muenster cheese, and it works perfectly. It has screw tighteners for each side to adjust the thickness. I've heard complaints about this, but I don't mind it. I've had those that adjust thickness with just one adjustment knob, and it is a little easier. However, I've had those break on me also. This cutter adjusts both sides real tight for any thickness you might want. I got it to cut some razor thin pieces. It helps to let the cheese soften a little, but it will cut through solid cheese right out of the fridge.Great cheese cutter.

Just like the one my mom had. Works really well and adjustable! Even comes with spare cutting parts. It is going to takes long time to wear it out! Stainless steal long lasting.

The best features of this unit are about its flexibility - the thickness adjustment and the extra wires when one goes bad or breaks. Its weight is substantial and seems to portend durability. The wire seems more substantial than many other similar styles, and it cuts cheeses cleanly if handled well. It gets a 4 because for me the handle is too short and a bit thin. I admit I have big hands.

I buy the 4lb. Wheel of Swiss cheese from Guggisberg and this cheese slicer has no problem slicing through the cheese. High quality stainless steel wire and easy to clean.

We’ve had this cheese slicer for roughly 10 months, one side of the wire came loose and so I went to tighten it. Didn’t work and came loose again so I thought maybe just replacing the wire would do the trick…nope. I’m conflicted on this one because it did work well until it didn’t, haven’t used it since. Take your chance and hope yours doesn’t end up like this.

This cutter is very sturdy and is very good for soft to medium soft cheese. It comes with extra wires in case they break. If I had to, I would buy it again.

Sorprendido de la relación calidad / precio, para lo que cuesta es de muy buena calidad y buen diseño, el alambre queda completamente tenso y la forma de regular el grosor de la rebanada es sencillo.Uno de los alambres de repuesto vino sólo con una terminación por lo que no será utilizable pero aún asà vale la pena

Good quality works well easy to clean bit bigger then my old one extra cutting wire a good to have I like block cheese for grill cheese 🧀 so I want all the same thickness and this does the job
