I installed this myself, it took a couple of screws, an electric screwdriver, a drill. Just measure first to be sure you're happy. It can go in a couple of positions, so it's versatile. We've used it for over 6 months in the rain and it still looks stylish.

Even though i only gave 3 stars I did re-order this. Had one for about a year at our cabin on a gate and it started getting hard to turn and kids struggled so replaced it.

I was quite surprised how heavy and apparently well-made this is. I ordered the bronze finish. Nice to have a choice. It's a cute design that allows you to use it in four different configurations to suit your needs. You can put it up high out of reach of little fingers or sticky beaks (dogs) that are accustomed to opening doors! Useful. It's not a key lock so no risk of losing the key! But it has a definite turn key action to keep the door securely shut. I used it in a caravan bathroom at a 90 angle, but it also works 180 and left to right or right to left.The finish is a bit rough, but I think you get what you pay for and this is pretty decent for the price.
