I use this as a winch line extension for my 12k winch on my SuperDuty. It's pretty tough so far handling several long hard pulls when the factory winch line wasn't long enough and extra HD straps weren't either. Just be reaL CAREFUL not to rub it on rocks, trees, dirt, gravel, etc. as the strands are not super tough and abraid easy... Take care of it and it will take care of you.

I use this item as a replacement winch rope on a Smittybilt Gen II X20 12K winch. It fits the winch spool nicely and looks like it will be functional. I like the fit of the red heat guard and the protective sleeve. Haven't used the rope under serious conditions yet, but don't have any reason to think it won't work. So far. . . Thumbs up!

My splice has the caribeaner on it.The aluminum clamped end has quite a few feet of sheathing on it that you will have to remove if you want to make an eye splice on that side. The eye end that I comes with has only about 7 in buried, of the 30 something that should be buried and no taper. That makes a weak pointI learned all of this because I intended to do overhead work with it and now I'm resplicing both ends. It's not too hard to do but it takes focus and time.

The rope quality seemed fine. The spliced eye could have been tied better, in my opinion. It was not tied as a Brummell lock splice and the bury was not 50x rope diameter. But that was an easy fix.

If you are replacing a wire rope with this you will need a longer keeper screw! I have only used the rope one time so far but I was impressed for the price! I ordered that day and received it that night.
