Not having that ridiculous anti-drag switch is GREAT ! The reel is super smooth, I caught a 5lb Bonefish and a 7lb Rudderfish , and no problems, the handle felt strong and sturdy ðŸ‘

As an owner of some other higher end spinning reels, I was looking for something well made but on the cheaper end for a ultralight setup. I ordered this and was immediately surprised with the feel and build quality, (also looks great) Once I got it out on the water I was once again shocked with how smooth this thing casts and reels. So impressed I bought two more reels for my brother and father. Can’t think of anything negative to say so far in my ownership.

Great Brand. Nice reel. Silky smooth. Retrieve speed about average for this size reel. Complaints?? Well, there is no control to deactivate the anti-reverse. Sometimes while trolling I want to let out more line, and I have to release the bail, while controlling the line on the spool to prevent a birds-nest. Concerning the bail... You really need to close it with your free hand after a cast, because it takes too much effort to snap it over by just cranking the handle. Closing it with your hand, rather than just cranking to close the bail, should be your standard procedure anyway, so the reel kind of enforces that good habit. Drag works perfectly as far as I can tell. Line pickup looks like chrome plated metal. Mid priced, decent value.

I purchased the 30 sized spool and is a perfect match for my Abu Garcia Veratise 7' moderate rod. The reel is ultra smooth straight out of the box. It has a very smooth cast and crank for sub $50 dollar range reel. If feels like a $100 spinning reel hands down.After heavily using the reel for about a year, I upgraded all the bearings with ceramic bearing for $50 and it turned into a Abu Garcia Revo SX Spinning Reel ($170) instantly (I have this reel too). The bearing upgrade add another 12 yards to my cast beating the Abu Garcia Revo SX Spinning Reel by 5 yards based on land casting tests.If you are looking for a $100 reel for around $50, this is the spinning the reel to purchase. Abu Garcia makes high quality reels on all price levels.

Super reel with great features. It's super smooth and have used it to land multiple walleyes over 25 inches. Even managed a few 35 to 45 inch muskies (while fishing walleys) and the reel performed flawlessly. The drag is smooth and the gear ratio is just right ( I purchased the 25 version). You could spend alot more money for the same outcome but I'd rather spend my money on other things like gas in the boat!!

Not as smooth as my revo but for the price point this sucker is nice. Anti reverse is instant and reel runs amazingly for the price. Hard to beat Abu products

Smooth, good size, I assumed it came with 2 spools. Very sturdy, a bit heavier than assumed but overall great for the money.I’m a bit disappointed, in years past most manufactures Daiwa/Shimano/Abu Garcia etc provided their mid tier reel models with two spools, with all the different line combinations available you would think that trend would be a priority.

Laufruhige und gut verarbeitete Rolle, leider dreht Sie sich nur in eine Richtung, Schnur muss man mit Bügel oder Bremse freigeben, das ist zumindest für mich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, zumindest beim Aufbau, beim Angeln an sich stört das nicht weiter, wenn man es weiß. Kurbelgriff ist gummiert, was sehr hilfreich ist, Haltbarkeit wird sich zeigen.
