I bought two of these. These work great, they are durable and such, BUT they have these panels attached that don't seem at all significant for its function. They just get in the way, and depending how you use it, they could jam into the book and tear through the pages. I would just like to suggest to the manufacturers that if those two added panels serve no functional purpose, they should quit putting them in there, they just get in the way, even if you use them according to the pictures of the Amazon ad. Which, I noticed in the pictures on Amazon showing the books being set in them with the spines against the metal fencing. I like to use it the other way so as to pull the book out easier.Anyways, I do give 4 stars, because they are a good product. BUT because of those two seemingly useless in-the-way panels, I couldn't give 5 stars.

I bought a small book shelf from Amazon and this stretches out to the perfect width of the shelves. The way this book holder is made allows you to pull a couple of your books off the shelf and the book or books that are left remain standing. The book shelf I bought has a black iron frame with wooden shelves and this book holder looks great on it.

These bookends are great because they are adjustable and sturdy, doing an excellent job of holding up several heavy and large cookbooks. I would recommend for those who are looking for an option that holds the books up well, without sliding and causing the books to fall over.

Had to order some low bumper type stick ons to keep it from folding and moving. Works, but a unsteady when filling it to max. Stays up after done. Improvement would be foam or rubber material put on the bottom. Also fill in on either end first, then open up the grid a little at a time to fill the center.
