I bake pies way to often to be struggling with foil. These are fantastic. So simple to use and easy to clean which we all know is important. Worth the money every time. Easy to store since they are flexible you can throw them in a drawer. Can use on small or large pies by adjusting the side...I have even hooked two of them together on an extra large one. We all know the crust bakes to fast and I hate a burnt crust. So trust me just buy them.

If you adjust the crust protector to the largest setting with the notch it is actually just a little more than 9 and 1/2 in inner diameter. Both of my 9-in pie pans have one half inch lips and these will only cover these pans if it is expanded to its full end to end capacity. Will not be locked in. I was able to get these to work for me but.. I think you would be happy if your pie pan from Outer Edge to Outer Edge was 9 and 1/2 or less. Anything more than that will not fit the way it's supposed to. I agree are great and they seem to be very heavy duty. If they would extend the length of these about one more inch it would take care of most everyone's pie plates. Remember pie plates are measured by the diameter of the plate without the lip on either side. One of mine is USA and one of mine is Pyrex. They both are 9 inch but with the lip they measure 10 inches. I imagine the Pyrex plates that have the handles on them would not work at all. How you form your crust that lays on the lip of the pie pan can also affect how well it will fit.

These are SO nice and convenient. No more fighting with foil to try to cover the edges of my pies etc. And they are SO easy to clean. The silicone makes it so I can just throw them in the dishwasher and they come out looking brand new again. HIGHLY recommend!

Neither piece is large enough to fit a standard 9" Pyrex-brand glass pie pan and if you try to layer them on top of each other, they do not slip together well. I tried baking a pie and they came apart in the oven and almost burned the crust.I was better off using aluminum foil and wouldn't recommend this particular product if you're using Pyrex. (I think the handles on the Pyrex pie pan make it more prone for things to flip around if you're not able to make the connections.)

I bought these pie crust savers because by the time my apple pies are fully cooked, the edge-crust is always very well done. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the edge-crust was the same as the rest of the pie’s crust … Y-a-a-a-y!!Pros:They’re heavy silicone that can stand very high temperatures … much higher than most baked goods.They’re adjustable … you can ‘open them up’ for large pies -or- tighten them for smaller pies.I used this for 9†pies but, clearly, it would accommodate a much smaller pies or, even a 10†pie. I got the red & white (candy cane looking) set because I thought they look festive. I wish I found something like this 40 years ago! 🥧ðŸ‘ðŸ»âœ”ï¸

These are great to put on meat pies or any small pies as it helps the crust from not getting burnt. I have used these a few times and I like the results. No more crust getting over done or burnt. Easy to clean and store.if
