Used this to wire up my 220v air compressor. I like using the big size nema plug for my shop tools. I know it’s meant for a dryer, but I like the bulky size and feel of the plug. Makes it easy to plug in and out of the receptacle. This plug feels solid and it works and it was a good price. I would recommend it.

Heavy duty product with removable prongs. This feature makes the set up and installation of wires completely flexible. I purchased this plug for my 240v bandsaw, which I need to temporarily plug into a 30a clothes dryer outlet, until I can get a permanent 15a outlet installed. Ultimately, I will use the plug for a trailer to use on a 50a RV circuit.

I had what is probably an unusual problem to solve.I ordered an induction stove top to replace a gas stove top. To prepare I hired an electrician to install a 220 50a circuit to location. Their installation included an outlet for a plug in.To my chagrin when the cook top arrived it was wired with a flex cable with instructions saying it had to be hard wired.This being a DIY installation I did not want the ordeal of removing the outlet already in place.I made the decision to connect a plug to the flex cable instead.This plug made what was somewhat of a tricky chore doable. It allowed me to open it, attach heavy gauge wires, then enabled connecting a 90 degree flex cable connector to the plug. The latter step was the most tricky. The plug housing had just big enough jaws to clamp down on the short threaded arm of the connector.Very helpful that the prongs of the outlet can be slipped in and out to accomplish the connection of the heavy gauge wires. Very difficult to make all this happen because of the tight space and rigidity of the wire etc.Once everything in place having screws that tighten it all together was a huge relief. Not sure what an electrical inspector would say about my jerry rigging instead of hard wiring but this was a very satisfactory installation to me thanks to this great plug.

Bought this one because it is an off-white color. Just wanted something that stands out less than the standard dark colored ones. UL listed and meets low flammability standard V-2.

I purchased this plug after two dryer cords from the hardware store failed — they each had electrical shorts in the molded plug end. I stripped the insulation and cut the wires to the appropriate lengths and connected this dryer plug. It works perfectly. The instructions are clear and although the wires are thick and a bit difficult to fit in the plug the product works well.
