The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is developed to enhance off-idle torque, from 800 RPM to approximately 3,000 RPM. It incorporates a patented helix bore, which causes a spinning action of the incoming air-charge as it passes through the throttle body spacer. This improved air-charge carries all the way into the combustion chamber, producing a super-atomized mixture, which produces tremendous gains in mid-range power and overall combustion efficiency for better fuel economy.

AWESOME product. Very easy to install, package comes with easy to follow instructions that can also be viewed on their website. Makes a nice whistle sound when I mash the throttle. Not 100% sure if the fuel mileage increased, but the horsepower seems to be better. Installed a K&N cold air intake next day and for sure had some extra horsepower and still has that whistle sound.

This actually made my truck run worse,It made my truck have a slight hesitation at take off. The nice thing is you can take it off in about five minutes.

Honestly... It probably doesn't do much. It makes a cool turbo spooling up type whistle you hear through your intake. Volume and pitch is controlled by your right foot. No noticeable sound during WOT. I like it, but some people hate it. From a performance stand point, I don't see how it could work given the complex design of new car intakes, (sharp curves and bends) not to mention that when your throttle is at any less than wide open only a small amount of air is passing over these ridges at the top and bottom of your throttle plate and not traveling thru the huge hole where the swirl inducing shape is. On an older car with a large SINGLE barrel carb bolted atop this spacer I could see how the swirling effect might help atomize the fuel, and carry the "swirl" directly down to the intake ports. New car engines have fuel injected either directly into the cylinder or right before the intake valve so atomization in carb or intake manifold just doesn't happen. Even if the swirling air came into the intake manifold as a tornado like this suggests, it would have to magically maintain that shape thru the crazy intake shapes of new cars then magically split off into 4, 6, or 8 mini tornados traveling to each cylinder where the flow would be disrupted abruptly each time the intake valves slam shut. Now I also don't hold a degree in air flow technology or intake design, so don't quote me on that, but it all just sounds impossible. Anyway, I like the sound it makes and if it actually does help with throttle response or MPG then that's an added bonus, but that's not why I bought it. It's easy to fool yourself that there is more power. New sound, great reviews, misleading Mfgr claims, and $120 potentially down the drain. Until I see a before and after Dyno sheet for my otherwise stock vehicle, I'll just smile when passengers ask "what's that noise," and swear it's my turbo.

This is a great responsiveness to add to your Truck!!! When you first hit it...it's THERE!!! No hesitation, not that there is alot anyways, but definately more snappy down low!!!! I would suggest anyone gets one on there car!!! This is the 2nd Throttle Body Spacer i have put on a vehicle and it had about the same feeling of difference!!! It is noticable, dunno HP/TQ, but the BUTT DYNO tells me...MORE POWER!!!! :)

Do you long to whistle whilst moving your way through traffic?! This is the spacer for you! Simplistic instructions for installation, couples perfectly to a BBK 75mm throttle body, and packs a punch! Truck runs like it's got something to prove.

Bought this for my 1997 Ford Expedition with the 5.4L, and overall not impressed. No noticeable difference on acceleration (even at low end torque). Does make a half whistle/hissing at 1/4 throttle which does sound kind of cool. Have this paired with a K&N cold air intake, and this was a pain in the rear to get lined up afterwards. Pushing everything too far forward, had to completely remove the K&N and make some modifications to keep it from rubbing on the fan shroud and line back up with the metal box and keep from rattling (which it still does since it's at a weird angle now.
