I use this almost everyday at work and am happy with it every time. I like the composite body that doesn't get cold, and think the trigger is far superior to the more common levers. The ratchet has plenty of torque to be effective and is small enough to get into tight spaces, it's a big time saver. With some larger sockets (9/16, 15mm, etc) the protective sleeve on the end of the ratchet keeps the socket from sitting securely on the anvil, but it stays well enough to get the job done or the sleeve could be removed. My co-workers have 1/4" snap-ons and one has an IR, and my Air Cat will keep up with or beat them all. One of the Snap-Ons will give the Air Cat a run for it's money but another doesn't have half the speed or torque, even when new or after a rebuild. The Air Cat is also much quieter than the other ratchets. For the price I think it's a really good tool. I know it's only a 1/4" ratchet and I don't expect it to give me the torque of a 1/4" impact or larger ratchet but I think it has plenty of power to do what I ask it.

This little quarter drive air ratchet was just what I needed.. I work with a lot of smaller bolts and daily give my 1/4 sockets a work out. This air ratchet is a life saver, or a wrist saver I should say. It's not an impact gun, so if you have anything super tight, break it loose first , after that, the 380 rpm speed will certainly speed up whatever task your working on. This thing is quiet and comfortable to use and compared to Snap on or Mack its an easy buy with a great warranty,

After going through 3 generations of cordless tools and all the costs I decided to save wear and tear on the electric ratchet and keep it for interior and go back to air for undercar and under hood, very happy so far, stronger, smaller and faster than my Milwaukee brushless ratchet, no battery bs, consistent power and speed unlike cordless tools.

I like this little badass air ratchet. Needed something small to get in tight places. And this little ratchet did the trick. Just as most Aircat air tools, it's quiet for an airtool. Nice quality and sockets fit perfectly. Compact design makes it great for those tight spots where operating a ratchet is nearly impossible. I have several AirCat air tools and never had one fail yet. You get what you pay for and then some. My opinion is these are as good as Ingersoll Rand airtools without the bigger price tags. The tight design works well. No paddle handle to catch on wiring when maneuvering under the hood or up under the dash. And easier to operate in tight spots then a single round push button air ratchet. Very happy with this tool purchase. If you make a living with tools you'll understand, if you don't turn a wrench to make a living, you won't and you'll end up at Walmart.

I work on aircrafts and I honestly can say these aircat tools are a gem. Lots of power, decent speed and very quiet. Out performed many snap on, ingersoll rand, harbor cheapo tools and many more. A little bulkier but for the performance, you won't complain.

Update 1-25-19: Ratchet is junk. I've had it for 6 months, used it only very minimally and oiled it regularly, and it already stopped working. It already didn't have any power so I pre-loosened a bunch of bolts and tried to use this to run them out, but it wouldn't budge them. The ratchet spins freely, but you can hold it still with just your thumb and forefinger. I ended up turning those loose bolts out just with my fingers. Return/support period has ended. There is still a warranty on it I will try to get taken care of, but at this point I'd rather just return it for my money back. It was so weak I hardly used it anyway, so I bought a Snap-On electric ratchet, so now even if Aircat fixes this one for me I'll likely never use it again anyway. This is a pretty good air ratchet. It is built well, comfortable to use, lightweight, and a decent price point. It has a bit less power than I expected it to, but for the size of it maybe that's my fault for expecting too much from it. It does work well and is a good product, just dont expect to use it's breakaway torque for anything other than very light torque applications.

Love this AirCat 1/4" drive air ratchet. Its small, fits into tight spaces and offers all the power needed for those smaller nuts and bolts in any automotive application. I attached a 24" lead hose to it with a built in swivel to keep it short. I bought this to do work on a F250 Diesel and needed a small ratchet to save time and knuckles. Its not loud at all, offers plenty of power and spins at a good rate, not too slow or fast. Extensions stay on tight, the trigger is well positioned and easy to pull, yet does not get in the way.

Have many other Aircat tools so not fairly new to the brand overall. I already own this version of this but 1/4'' one and is an awesome tool to have. Not a lack of power, but also quite. Was looking for the 3/8'' version for a little more power and instead of sticking a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter. The air ratchet isn't long, i like the palm trigger as you do not need to fiddle around with a lever style. The unit is quite quiet as i have others in my shop that are very loud, this one is barley noticeable. Some bolts you will need to break loose but once it's loose then the ratchet has no problem in making quick work. The ratchet is overall a very good ratchet as i have others and the quality is just as good as other brands. I would totally recommend this air ratchet if your considering a 3/8'' because it's great air ratchet. You won't smash your hands with too much torque and no real hearing protection required.

Another amazing product from Aircat, i own multiple Aircat products and this one is no exception.- The body itself is great, its not super long but not very short. You always have to sacrifice something, the longer it is you get more power but can't get into tight areas but the shorter it is means you lose power but can get into those tighter areas. I believe this is best of both worlds if you know what i mean. It is portable meaning you can get into tight areas without having to use a standard ratchet. When using, the exhaust is at the rear and when using it doesn't get cold in your hand like other ratchets do. It is well insulated to keep your hand "warm" when using the tool. The forward and reverse is on the top of the head and it a little small for my liking. If your someone that has fat fingers or big hands (no offense) then this might be hard for you because it's small but if your someone that has tiny fingers or medium sized fingers then this will work. Also it's sometimes difficult to see what position you are in when first picking up the ratchet. Meaning you may be in forward but need it in reverse. It can be sometimes hard to see but does have a arrow pointing the direction.- The trigger; when i first saw this i really didn't understand how it worked meaning i was skeptical of buying it because i thought the trigger might break upon daily use and not being able to hold up as other air ratchets. I was wrong, this trigger on this is very slim when holding it in your hand. It doesn't feel cheap and the mechanism feels good and also your hand doesn't cramp like others do and as other ratchets. You can depress the trigger a little and you can feather the control and this can do that as well even with this type of trigger. It is comfortable to hold in your hand and will not cramp your hand when using for a long period of time unless your using this all day constantly then i guess your hand with start to hurt.- Torque; the torque on this is sub-par meaning that it packs quite a punch. It will struggle if something is rusted or seized but can get the job done. If your looking for something to run a few clamps down and to do some non-high torque applications then this totally worth the purchase but if your looking to do heavy engine work with this. Keep looking!- Noise; WOW! I have a technician beside me and has a 1/4 air ratchet is SO DANG loud. After your finished you can't even hear yourself think with his air ratchet. He keeps saying he too cheap to buy a new one but i don't believe that. I almost want to buy him this because it's so quiet. It doesn't expel a lot of air which is great and the noise is almost unnoticeable. It's not wispier quiet but trust me. Buy it and try it for yourself and you will hear how quiet this is. I can't understand why other brands don't do it like this AND for the price it is amazing compared to other brands that are twice as loud and three or four times the price.Head Rubber Jacket; the air ratchet comes with a rubber jacket for the head of the tool as seen in the photo. The reason i want to mention this is sometimes when using the socket won't mount on to it because the rubber jacket gets in the way. The solution, remove the jacket and cut a slight bigger hole that goes around the head where the socket goes. Just enough to expose the whole bottom of the head.Overall, i am enjoying using this small, quiet, but powerful ratchet. I wouldn't saw its the most powerful but i would totally say it better than others. I think what you are paying for is how quiet it is and hey if you run into a application that this tool won't remove just bust out the 1/2 impact and zip and zap and your done. It's out! I think this is a great buy and would totally recommend, just even might buy another one right after this review for the technician beside me.

Good quality tool, quiet but it is not that powerful which is expected from a mini version. I am happy to use it for every day job tasks

I won't lie I tried this from my Matco tool guy, ever since that trial I've loved it but didn't want to pay the $350 he was offering. I've had this for about 5 months with regularly use, bought it at about $100, rarely oiled but still keeps extremely quiet, my buddy has a Mac 1/4" air ratchet and this one is so much better, strength is the same if not a bit better, but this one is so much quieter and in my opinion I like the plastic casing as its comfier and similar in size. 10/10

Low torque but, has high speed , is quiet and won't smash your hand when it enguages. I've put plenty of pressure on the air line adapter to loosen bolts with out a problem.
