I specifically bought it because we had plans to watch a movie in the drive in. The speakers were clear and loud! I just propped it up at the back of the truck, lay out some chairs and an inflatable on the truck bed and had the best family experience! The radio can be used for emergencies as well, as it comes in both AM/FM station and the switch can be found on the side. It can both be ised with batteries or a plug in.It also has a bit weight to it, so it is sturdy! and has a retro look, such a little treat for us millenials.I totally recommend this radio!

Good radio for the price , I like it. I use it with D battery only , I never used the power cord. I got the D battery from dollar tree for cheap and I never turn the volume high. Because I listen this radio close to my bed on a little table in the bedroom. So the battery life good. I wish only 1 thing on this radio. This radio has no any light what would indicate tured on and would have a second light what would show it is on the best frequency at a station. Those two lights i would wish on this but i give still 5 star because the sound quality surprised me. I expected worse for the money. Over all i like the radio. I use the am band mostly and it is very good. Listen only talk radio and news on it.
