The Bluetooth feature is great. The FM radio works great. The SW radio is an interesting touch for listening to the world's SW radio stations that are unlike a lot of US/North American FM band stations.Pros:Bluetooth easy and reliableCompactMultiple power sourcesCons:No power light or switch position indicator, so it's easy to forget that it's on. (It doesn't draw much power when not playing though, I have left it on all night without playing anything through Bluetooth and thebattery was not drained much.)Sounds very boomy and distorts voices especially at louder volumes (out of the box, anyway).Tinkerer's DelightTo improve the sound, I decided to open it up and add some KILMAT sound deadening to the inside of the case. I highly recommend doing this; I used 80 mil KILMAT, only took about a quarter sheet or so.The sound difference is much better; the speaker has better high-end now and voices and mid-range are not resonating with the case of the radio, so it's clearer at all volumes. When I had the case open, I detached the circuit board. On the board you will find play/pause, previous track, next track buttons already soldered to the board. You will also find a USB A jack and a microSD card jack. These items are hidden just below the surface of the top of the radio case! So, with a little bit of rotary tool work and a piece of flat styrene you could make an access port for these buttons and ports. I didn't try the microSD card or USB port (yet) but the buttons work with Bluetooth to control the track playback. I am now curious if it happens to actually support weather band (2m) radio reception, but a feature for that would have to be enabled on the chip... maybe accessible by the USB?As for the power indicator, getting a small plastic jewel and drilling a hole in the knob and gluing the jewel into the knob would make a good indicator, as would using some fingernail polish to make a mark on the knob and body of the radio to indicate when the switch is rotated to the off position.Overall, very neat little radio.

Really nice little radio. I ordered it mainly for when the power goes off, and I’m happy with the purchase. It’s small and compact with a nice color and look to it.

I have ordered four radios from Amazon and this is the best purchase, good size.Very strong sound, really enjoying it. Far superior to previous models.

I've reviewed a few radios lately and some of them are really good. This one, however, really comes up short. The sound quality is just not there. It sounds like a lightweight plastic box. The internal battery in this one never charges, and the tuner dial is way off. I searched up and down and eventually found my local 98.5 station at around 102 or so on the dial. Never was able to tune anything on the shortwave band. Overall quality is not very good.

This radio was exactly as described by the vendor and was exactly what I needed.. my car radio quit working and I bought this radio to put in the seat next to me so I could head tunes as I traveled. The radio works great and I think the internal battery will be fine.

I decided to grab this gadget primarily to have a small, lightweight, battery powered transistor radio available for emergencies. I quickly learned this product is an unusual mashup of technologies and design implementations. This product is shockingly analog in how it's used. The tuning and volume buttons are big chunky (though rather flimsy feeling) radial dials with no obvious markings on them. A quirk of the volume button is that it can be turned "off" enough when in bluetooth mode to not click, but still disconnect. The volume can also get rather loud, with maxing the volume dial producing more output than the single speaker can handle / you'd almost certainly blow the speaker in a short period of time. All the operating modes are selected by a toggle on the side. When setting to Bluetooth mode or when a device is successfully connected to the radio, a somewhat amusingly long phrase is said in English with an almost comedically heavy Asian accent. You're getting an entire awkwardly spoken sentence every time you turn on the bluetooth or connect your device. I find this oddness kinda endearing, honestly. Still hoping I may get scouted for voice acting basic operational phrases of gadgets for a Chinese mega Corp one day xDI dig that the radio has not only standard AM / FM, but short wave as well, which i totally had to Google since I've only heard the term in passing (basically, a more old-school broadcasting tech using radio frequency bands between AM / FM). The radio also has bluetooth support, as previously mentioned. My Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 effortlessly found and connected when the radio was set to bluetooth mode.I haven’t done an extensive test on the battery life of the internal battery, but have been listening to the FM radio for over an hour on the internal battery at a modest volume while poking at this review. I like that it also has an additional compartment for user installed batteries, and can be plugged in.The sound quality is solidly middling. The speaker does a great job for talk radio, but music fans will immediately notice the lack of good bass and lackluster mids. The speaker can't handle maximum volume of most audio I've thrown at it without distorting, but it can handle a loud enough volume to be easily heard in a decent sized space without distorting.I also like the inclusion of an analog headphone jack, though the volume distortion issue is also noteworthy at high levels. Plugging in headphones automatically turns off the speaker.I was also dissapointed that the metal mesh covering the speak was so flimsy that it noticably bent while holding the speaker to take a photo of it for this review D:Between the multi-functionality of the radio and the under $30 price point, i feel like this is a pretty good value for a cheap plastic portable radio. The addition of a flashlight, some USB outputs, and a handcrank would be nice additions to see in future models for an emergency radio. Cool gadget.
