The clear cube is filled with iron filings suspended in a solution, which makes it possible to view magnetic field patters easily by adding a magnet into the center of the cube (magnet is included). The patterns can be observed from all angles and easily manipulated with other magnets from the outside of the cube. This could have been a beautiful toy... alas, the picture used to sell it is, at best, deceptive. The cube's material is a cheap acrylic that gets scratched by looking at it and, worse, there is much, much less metal filling than the picture leads you to believe. This is not worth half its current selling price. Shame.

Barely had it a day and it leaked all over my desk and clothes. Very dissapointed.
