I have to rebuild my kitchen faucets about every 6 years because my cold water is not softened; lime really ruins these cartridges. This is a fairly easy repair. Make sure to turn off the water supply & have some plumber's grease on hand for the new parts. I always replace the spacers and the spout seals while I have the faucet apart. They are cheap & it's just easier to do it all at once. Take pictures of the inside of the faucet at all stages as you take it apart. This helps if you forget which way is up, etc. when trying to put it back together.These parts all fit & were real American Standard parts. If you are unsure which parts to buy, go to the American Standard website to looks at the specs/drawings.

This item would have been even nicer if it were have included the two large o-rings that seal the faucet when we move it from left to right. They also leaked at the same time that the cartridge leaked. Now I have to make another order out and pay another shipping cost when it should have been a complete set in the first place. (DUMB) or is it smart so more money could be made or wasn't someone thinking? Who knows. Always put the customer in a bind that's the american way these days.

Purchased this along with the balancing cartridge to fix a leaking tub faucet. The leak has been fixed and everything is working as expected. I took a couple pictures but I didn't take any after completing the install.Highly recommended!
