Did everything it was expected to do. No leaks, installed right, happy with the outcome.Reading some of the reviews, please know you will need some knowledge in what fitting you should buy in your replacement spout. Just hire a dang plumber.

My old bathtub spout had diverter valve problems, and replacing the washer in the existing spout didn’t help. This spout solved the problem, the diverter valve stays closed until I shut off the water. Installation was super easy.

I needed to replace a diverter tub spout because water was leaking heavily from it when in shower mode, wasting water and causing a loss of water pressure at the shower head. Many people reviewing diverter tub spouts on Amazon and the major hardware store chains note that the cheap parts sold at local hardware stores are often poor quality, poor fit, leak badly, and fail prematurely. Consequently, I decided to pay a little more and order this one. It proved relatively easy to install this slip-on style spout. It feels high quality and works well. I like that there's a rubber gasket at the bottom of the pull tab so that when it drops back down it does so quietly. It's not a big deal, but lends a sense of quality to the product. The diverter seal isn't perfect, so there's still some dripping when in shower mode, but it seems normal.In subsequent research, I discovered that if you have non-threaded copper pipe and need to use a slip-on type tub spout diverter, it may be best to check out the . It features a "yoke" that clamps around the copper pipe instead of just driving a screw into the pipe to hold it in place. It also has a patented "cup washer" in the nose of the diverter, which is supposed enable it to seal much more effectively in shower mode, supposedly eliminating drips, leaks, and loss of pressure. It is, however, slightly more expensive, and whereas this American Standard spout is metal, the Moen is chromed plastic.

I gave this tub spout four stars due to it being manufactured in China. In the product description it states that the country of origin is the USA but on the box that it arrives in it says made in China. Amazon should change their listing to reflect that this tub spout is indeed made in China, doing so will let the people considering purchasing this item because it is manufactured in America will know that it is not. The spout was easy to install and is working well so far. Time will tell if this Chinese product can stand the test of time.

This is a good product and a no brainer. Cost is at least 50% less than what you will pay at home improvement stores.

Check your tub faucet and make sure you have a non-threaded type slip joint. If you do. All you need is an allen wrench and you can install this. If you don't know what an allen wrench is, watch YouTube for 60 seconds and you'll be all set.Nice to have one that doesn't have a high-pitched whistle for the entire shower, and that is also made of metal, not chromed plastic.

I bought 2 of these spouts. I just got to the repair and realized they were not the right spout for the job. I did notice another thing. One was boxed, well padded, in an American Standard box with some paperwork. The other one came in a plastic bag. The factory advisory label was removed from the spout and a loose screw and Allen wrench were tossed in the bag. Not sure I would call them both new units, although I believe I paid for 2 new ones. Four days past the return policy.

Doesn't screw on like my old one over a plastic extension. Fits right on to the copper pipe with an Allen nut underneath. Blocks all the water for the shower. Excellent product.

La calidad exterior se ve buena, pero no sé si mi producto venÃa incompleto, dañado o todos son asÃ.Busque el producto en Google y aparece con otros accesorios para apretar el tubo que entrarÃa. Pero aquà no hay forma de que el tubo embone correctamente.

SO worth the extra few dollars to get a brand name that works right the first time! No leaks, and ALL the diverted water goes up to the shower head so you have fantastic water pressure. No water runs out the faucet while in shower mode. Super easy to install...even for a girl. 😉

This product is durable and perfect fit, tried a different brand and had to return. The important thing the screw that tightens this with the tab is bigger and easily accessible unlike other brands that have a tiny screw which is hard to access and rotate
