This little travel pack game is awesome!! I got this for travel and camping and when I tell you this did not disappoint. Great value for the money. The borad and ypieces are sturdy. The magnet strength is strong .

I purchased this board so I could portably play chess with a friend who recently started learning to play. Before purchasing, the key appeal was the size and magnetic pieces. Once I received the board and started using it, I experienced that rare glow when a casual purchase far exceeds your expectations.The board itself is fairly sturdy for a travel board. The clasps that keep the board closed and folded are the little plastic knobs that click into opposing holes. They so far haven't broken off, though it is about the only thing I remain constantly aware of with the board.The pieces are classic in look and easy to differentiate. The magnets aren't super strong, but more than enough to let an errant table nudge ruin the game or if you need to move to a different surface/table, you can just pick it up and move. I've even been able to hold the board upside down without any pieces falling off. One comment is the colors, silver and gold. My friends and I play with gold being black and the silver being white, but you can be a human person and choose for yourself.The pieces come in a small canvas bag and so aren't loose in the board when not playing, so you don't have to worry about it accidentally opening and spilling everywhere. There are also 2 additional queens so you don't have to turn your rook over if you upgrade a pawn before your queen dies. While not a huge deal, it's a very nice detail that actually makes the set seem a little fancier than it is.TL,DR: I've been insanely pleased with the purchase and the price point makes it a steal.

Awesome set! The pieces are nice to look at and the magnet works fine as intended. Fold it up and take it on the go. You just gotta flatten out the pieces when you put it inside the board and it closes up just fine.

Great little portable chess set that comes with 2 extra queens for promotions, a nice little bag to keep all the pieces in, and an instruction manual. The magnets on the bottom of the pieces themselves are pretty good for the most part. Pieces won't go flying if someone bumps the board, but you can't straight up have the board upside down and expect the pieces to stay in place, cause they won't. The bag fits pretty snuggly inside of the foldable board, although you may have to flatten out the bag a bit with the pieces inside to close it properly. The gold and silver pieces looks really nice too and is the main reason I purchased this set along with the portability of it.

I'm stoked.. I bought it for my son who was in the hospital.. it worked out perfect when the nurses were coming in and out and through various checks... it's fancy, cool, durable, magnet force is strong, it's overall just a quality product. I'm so happy with this purchase!! Love that it comes with extra queens, a nice bag for pieces and that is all self contained as to not lose the pieces. Absolutely worth it! You won't be disappointed if you like to PLAY chess!
