I really like this product as it is very accurate as it's product description states. As a Safety Professional I have very high standards and cost usually isn't a deterrent when I purchase any Safety product; however, the price for this Temperature reader is very affordable, as the last one I purchased for my last project was at least 3x more expensive and not accurate at all. I would highly recommend this product for family and friends, or like me, to keep your office and onsite personnel feeling confident that their reading is accurate and don't have a temperature. We had trouble getting the device to turn on. Waited the suggested .5 hour to get it acclimated. Still won’t turn on.Checked the prepackaged batteries, they were fine; changed them anyway. Still nothing.Looked closer at the spring battery contact and found one was quite rusty.Took a bit to clean the contact and final it worked.It works fine now, accurate, quick and easy.But coming new but rusted is not a good product.

We bought this in 2019 or 2020 during the pandemic to have a "good" no touch thermometer. After several innaccurate readings over the next few months, we ended up buying a different brands thermometer about 3 months later and gave this one to my daughter to take the temperature of her dolls. Now she has somehow changed it to Celcius readings and I can't get it to change back to F. Tried holding the button for 8 seconds like it says in the manual, but that either turns it off after about 4 seconds of holding the button or it does nothing. So now it doesn't even work to take my daughters doll temperatures. If you want a quick reading, this does a pretty good job, but if you want a spot on accurate reading you might want to keep on looking.
