I ordered this product to replace the cast zinc swivels that came with my new flag pole. The cast zinc swivels provided were, in my humble opinion, too small and light to handle the stresses that could be imparted by a 4’ X 6’ flag in a stiff wind. I did not want to have my new flag torn or lost altogether because of a failed swivel.This product is beautifully made from brass and very well-polished. The springs backing up the snaps are more than adequate to hold the opening closed. The ⅞†eye opening is large enough to accept the loop of the black nylon rope I plan to use with my new flag pole. The ⅜†snap opening is also large enough to accept the large grommets on my new flag. The total length of the brass swivel is 3 ¼†which will provide a small stand-off from the halyard itself and is more than an inch larger that the cast zinc swivels that I am replacing. I tried to find a product like this at my local Big Box Store but there was nothing of this quality available. I am very happy with this product. Thank you.

These snap hooks are very good quality. They swivel easily. The spring opening movement works correctly, when employed, not by accident when you're needing it to stay closed.The brass is beautiful. One look at them and you can tell they are quality items.

Excellent quality. Have a nice heft to them. Much better than the zinc alloy ones. Price is good. Excellent for dog leashes, especially if on a leather lead as it would look stunning. But will last for years.

These snap hooks are as advertised. They are nicely finished and appear to be quite sturdy.
