Ordered two of these to fix a sloppy automatic shifter on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma Pickup. The most tedious part about the install is getting the correct sequence of re-installation procedures in order. Check YouTube for help on this. The part themselves dropped right in place and worked great. However, I noticed that there is a secondary shaft (right above the transmission that uses the same bushings, and those bushings had been disintegrated over time as well. Not wanting to have to take apart the assembly again, I ran down to the local Toyota dealership to buy 2 more (expecting a huge price markup). As it turns out, the dealership sold them for less than $6.00 for the pair. This is the same dealership that wanted to charge me $3.05 for a small plastic dashboard clip. So, live and learn. Check prices locally first. I would not buy this part from here again (because of the price, I could have sworn it was cheaper when I ordered it, but currently it is listed at $17.00). But the part itself works just fine. This is direct/exact replacement for Toyota part number: 90385-11003Edit to update 2024-08-25: It looks like the seller has doubled the quantity and lowered the price. I'd say it is now well within the range of a reasonable purchase. Also, the units that I replaced (8 years ago) have been holding up just fine.

Ordered these to replace the worn bushings in my 2002 Tacoma Prerunner. Found a video on YouTube that illustrated the replacement process (highly recommended) which made the process relatively easy. Replacement should take you 1 to 1.5 hours if all goes well and you're careful. Highly recommend the bushings if they fit your vehicle.

These bushings worked great for my 2001 toyota 4 runner 3rd edition! Definitely value for its money. They were just the right size. My gear shift is not loose anymore, and feels like a new car. I saved alot of money doing it my self instead of sticking it in a shop! Thanks amazon for having the right part I needed.

Fits my 3rd gen 4Runner. Only gave it 4 stars because upon reinstalling everything the rubber piece would fold or rollover onto itself. But the part does work; no more give or wiggle in my shifter.

Purchased a 2002 4Runner recently and had some difficulty getting the shifter assembly to consistently engage the igniton interlock switch properly. You may have the handle in the Park position, but the ignition switch can't be turned completely off / key released if the switch that detects Park is not engaged on the shift lever. After disassembling, I found that the factory bushings had disintegrated over the preceding 17 years, allowing the shift handle / lever to wobble side to side, causing the pin under the trim panel to barely miss the hook slot in the ignition interlock switch.Tip: if you're having this problem, a temporary fix is to push the shift lever firmly toward the right side footwell while shifting from Drive to ParkInstall was a breeze. Very straightforward if you can use a trim tool, screwdriver, socket/ratchet, combination wrench, and know how to either a) remember which of the screws go where, or b) take pictures while you disassemble.Another tip: use a dash cam or action camera on a headband to record what you're doing and looking at; if you get stuck or lost during reassembly you can refer to footage for help.Bottom line: Product was as advertised and it fixed my problem, sub 30 minute install. Two of the 4 factory shift assembly bushings were ground down over years of use and I couldn't get the vehicle to detect that it was parked & release the ignition interlock.

Works properly. Check out YouTube for installation, took maybe 30 min and cured auto shifter wobble and noise. Make sure to use grease while installing, the plastic can get folded and damaged.
