Tried the API strips for the first time and it has proven to be both quick and effective. The strips provide accurate readings, which is important to my shrimp tank. I was impressed with how easy and fast it was to get results for various parameters like pH, nitrite, nitrate, carbonate, and general hardness.However, one thing to note is that the readings can become inaccurate if you look at the strips after the water has dried off. The colors on each pad might change when dry, leading to potential false readings if referenced later. Therefore, it's best to read and record the results immediately after testing to ensure accuracy.

This product gets the job done and is way faster and easier to conduct than the full on master test kit. Some of the readings develop better than others. I always seem to have an issue getting the ph to register a good solid reading and the KH reading usually shows lighter in the center of the pad and darker on the edges so I always end up on the fence about the actual reading. Also it would be nice to see an ammonia reading on these as well and since that is missing I ended up having to buy different test strips just for quick ammonia checks.All in all it is good for quick checks when you don't want to get out the entire master test kit. If it includes the scope of tests that you are looking for then go for it but if you want a full picture of how your tank is doing I would recommend going with something that also includes an ammonia reading as that will be the most critical to the health of your fish and also is the reading that can spike and cause the most damage more often.

The API Test Strips are a good water monitoring system for small tanks. We've owned our betta for a little over 2 months now, and the API strips have helped us keep our small tank's water at the proper level for our fish to thrive. We check the water every other week or so and it helps us make the small adjustments to ensure our fish isn't getting sick. The strips are fairly easy to read, come up with results almost instantaneously, and seem to be accurate. While they may not work well for larger set ups, they work perfectly for our small tank set up and are helping us get a better idea of how to maintain the water. Overall good value for a small hobbyist aquarium owner.

These are just as described and do what they are supposed to. Just don’t promote confidence in the readings. They are fine for just getting a quick idea where you stand

They’re pretty easy to use and seem to test the pH accurately. Fish don’t seem to have a problem. They store well if you keep them away from any water. Doesn’t include any test kit, just pH strips.

Ich habe etwas länger gesucht und bin dann doch fündig geworden. Ein Schnelltest der auch für Meerwasser geeignet ist.Gleich vorweg, dieser Test ersetzt nicht die aufwendigeren und umfangreicheren anderen Tests. Dies ist nur um mal kurz und schnell die wichtigsten Parameter zu checken.
