I waited a few months to write this review. I installed this on a 2015 BMW X1 N20 engine with a cracked valve cover. It fit great and fixed the oil leak 100%. This part is more than a simple cover. It has an integrated PCV/backflow prevention valve due to the N20 being a turbo engine. It also needs to position the vanos solenoids accurately to meet the actuators in the camshaft gear sprockets. It does all of this well, with no issues encountered after installation. 100% satisfied.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your BMW are not necessarily manufactured by BMW. As BMW designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. Great quality and for the value is outstanding thank you!

The wife's 2014 X3 had been leaking for a few months and finally had time to order a new valve cover. I looked at the dealer price and went here for the great reviews. It's been on the car for about a month and so far, so good. No leaks. I'd recommend this since my mechanic said it fit just like stock. Buy with confidence, because I know some independent shops won't install your own parts.

It is cheap I will give you that, but having someone install it, is not. Even if they did do a good job, this thing is greasing out, badly. I don't recommend this, I'm just going to track down either an OEM version or a metal one, because the choice to go with this product was a very bad idea.

Fits perfectly on my 2013 328i xdrive with N20 engine. Although it comes with all the gaskets needed to replace the valve, I ended up using an elring gasket instead because I trust it more. No leaks since installed but I'll monitor and see. Ensure the screws are well tightened to torque if possible. Also make sure the vacuum pump is well tightened to prevent any leak from the back. One easy culprit for leak is the nipple on the vacuum pump if you have an electronic wasgate. I gorilla glued the nipple cover on to prevent it from potentially misting oil out. All good, no leak since install.

I originally bought the oem seal and replaced only the seal with the oem valve cover, but that didn't fix the leak. So I bought this valve cover and installed it with the oem seal. I didn't use the seal that came with the cover as it was a bit stiffer compared to the oem one.It has been two weeks post installed and there is no leak visible or burning oil smell inside the car. Will update if thing changed.

It seems decent enough, installed with no issues, it arrived broken but I chose to install it because I already had the other one off before I noticed.. The small bead that the top cover snaps into was broken off, the cover still sits secure though. I think it happened in shipping, but it was poorly packaged with no protection inside the box.
