I recently lifted my truck and installed 38’s. Steering wheel had 5 inches of slop before engaging. After installing this which took two hours. It’s down to one inch. Definitely makes the truck easier to drive. Be sure to check pitman arm and cross over shaft for play. Happy 4 wheelin12/1/2024 ended up with output shaft side play. Had to replace again. Trying another brand this time.

Hi, Updated review after 2-3 months. Steering is now sloppy again like it was before I replaced gear box. This unit lasted a couple months and original slop is back.Hi, I just installed this unit today so this is my first impression. Good product. Before installation my steering was very sloppy with 5" of steering wheel play. I had rebuilt my entire front-end (except gear box) of my Ford F-350 but still had much play in the steering wheel it was all over the road. This fixed the issue. I can't speak for how long this unit will last as I've only had it in my truck for 1 day. But today was good!My truck has a 6" lift which compounds the way and I still have a little sway but no slop in the steering wheel.

I bought this Steering Gear Box, as my factory one was leaking, and I didn't need to provide a core. While I was changing it out, I also changed out all the steering lines and fluid. This gear box was looser than the one I took off, luckily I was able to return it and get my money back. I got a remanufactured one from a local parts store that was 1000 times better than this one, for a marginal cost increase.

Sloppy steering after install. No different then my worn out box
